Thank you for interviewing with us today, can you introduce yourself to us?
I am Caroline and I live on the Gold Coast Australia. I am an inspirational speaker, business coach, wellness warrior, author and queen of positivity. I am passionate about empowering people to believe in themselves and advocate for awareness of mental health and childhood trauma. I have competed in triathlons and surf life saving internationally, I have a 21 year old son, I am a slave to my cat and I can’t live without chocolate, coffee and sunrises.
Can you take us through your journey to where you are now?
I grew up in a loving family but experienced childhood sexual abuse in my teenage years which lead to over 20 years of addiction, mental illness and suicide attempts. After moving around quite a lot and working in many different industries including banking, travel, hospitality, management and Information technology I found myself a single mum at 32. Shortly after that I got Sober and from their transformed my life to become an award winning entrepreneur, inspirational speaker, business coach and wellness warrior. My mission is to inspire millions of people to find joy in their lives regardless of their past or their circumstances.
Since starting, have you made any changes to your business model?
I am forever changing my business model and adapting to both technology and the needs of my clients. Originally, I had a bricks and mortar gym offering only fitness classes. This organically grew into my life coaching business and then I started offering more online education and coaching. Along the way I have changed my marketing strategies and business operations to ensure I am leveraging my success and continuing to reach my vision of helping millions of people.
Have you ever had a mentor? If so how has this benefitted you either personally or professionally?
The greatest improvements in my life came when I invested in a Mentor, Aaron Sansoni, and got my own business coach back in 2018. I have continued with this mentoring and coaching, and it has impacted my personal development and business growth in a dramatically positive way. So much so that for the past 4 years I have subcontracted as a Master Coach, and recently promoted to Trainer, for the Aaron Sansoni Group so that I could positively impact the lives of other entrepreneurs the same way it changed my life.
What outlets do use for marketing?
I utilise all aspects of marketing. My foundational marketing strategy was brand awareness through awards, media and paid advertising. My current marketing includes organic across all social media platforms, paid social media advertising across all platforms, Clickfunnel landing pages, webinars and in person events.
What or Who has inspired you most recently?
I have recently been listening to Esther Hicks and I love the insights and the awareness of creating the life we truly deserve. I would love to live in a world where there is less struggle and more kindness, so I am very inspired by the messages delivered by Esther to achieve this.
What is the best piece of business advice you have received to date?
Take Massive And Immediate Action. As a previous perfectionist waiting for everything to be “right” I have completely changed my mindset. I now take action as a priority and work it out or tweak it as I go along. Noting sells or inspires when it’s still and idea on a piece of paper or in your head !
How do you create an evenly balanced work and personal life?
The foundation of all my coaching is based on balancing personal life and work. I am passionate that when we work on ourselves first everything else including career, business, relationships and health improve. So I live what I teach and make exercise, meditation, family and social life a priority. Of course there are times when work takes priority however I ensure I am always consistent with my wellbeing practices during this time.
Name a seminal point in your career so far?
I think the most influential point in my career came when I started believing in myself. This happened during my first year with my Mentor in 2019 and has enabled me to keep going even when circumstances get touch. My gym was negatively impacted during Covid however because I increased my self-esteem I trusted myself to find solutions and believe in my grand purpose of inspiring others. No matter how difficult it got I kept going and am now reaping the rewards personally, financially and in business achievements.
What gives you ultimate career satisfaction?
Knowing that what I do helps others. Whether I am delivering my programs to the homeless or to corporate leaders, the joy I get from helping people to achieve their dreams and start becoming their best version of themselves is what drives me for future success.
Are there any leading entrepreneurs or SME leaders that you admire and if so, why?
My own Mentor Aaron Sansoni is a continued source of admiration and inspiration because he continues to adapt but always stays true to being authentically himself. I am also incredibly inspired by women around the Globe who continue to make their mark across all professions and industries. As a 54yr old woman I have encountered much resistance throughout my career life and to see women succeeding is so empowering.
How do you define your own success?
I would define my success by the positive impact I can have in the world. Through my advocacy of mental health, childhood sexual abuse and overall wellness I want to leave the world a better place and inspire others to live lives of purpose and passion.
Finally, what can we expect from you next?
I am in the process of writing my own autobiography which I hope will inspire people to transform their own lives and begin living their true purpose and passions. In addition, I wish to be speaking more on stage, in podcasts, and in the media to deliver my message of positivity and advocacy in the realms of mental health, childhood trauma and wellness. Despite the challenges across the globe I am passionate about creating a world where kindness and empowerment are the foundation of positive change.
