Hey Harleen, can you introduce yourself to us?
I am a clarity and success mindset coach for high achieving women, a NLP practitioner, ex banker and a mentor within the Cherie Blaire Foundation.
Can you take us through your journey to where you are now?
Travelling around the world every 6 months, a decent corporate salary, the best partner I could ever ask for, a loving family and our own little house in one of the best areas in London- what more could one ask for right? Wrong.
Well, at least for me! I always knew the vacuum I had inside me- to do something that offered a bigger impact..A big difference to people’s lives. I was amongst the top performers in my banking career and had an enviable queue of clients just wanting to have my financial advice- why? Because they trusted me.They believed I will not offer anything that doesn’t meet their needs. Yes I felt very proud, yet I wanted to do something more than just giving financial advice.
So what brought that breakthrough for me? I call it a ‘Maternal Instinct.’ I was 3 months pregnant with our first child that we eagerly awaited and that was all- I knew that this is my time to do something that not only offers me the flexibility around my child but also something that’ll make my heart sing- however I had no idea what that was. At the Crossroads, I thought of seeking help. I was referred to a life coach to help me figure out my values, my strengths etc. A few months down the line, I decided that this is exactly I wanted to do- have my own coaching practice to help women looking for a transition from their corporate world and do something that they are passionate about. I wanted to use my own life experience to help other women make a decision and take that next step. It wasn’t easy- I handed in my notice at work and enrolled for a year long worth of life coaching course to gain those skills.

I used up some of savings from work and invested about 10k on my coaching course. There was no looking back and I was 5 months pregnant when I started studying. I said to myself “I have to make this work.” I was lucky to be supported by my husband all this way long- emotionally and financially.
A few months into it, as I was getting heavier, I realised I need to take a break, 2 months after the baby was born; I was back to my weekend’s only school and it was hard to leave a breastfed child with her nan to go out and study. I pulled it along and in another month I was done. I graduated from my coaching school as a Certified Coactive Coach.
Did I stop there, hell no!-I had already bagged 8 clients by then and wanted more as I could clearly see the impact I was creating in their lives however small or big it was and not forgetting to mention my own transformation that I went through.I learnt the power of investing in oneself, I was unstoppable…
I am now a cerified coactive coach (with ICF) and an NLP (Neuro Linguistic Practitioner) and a Mentor with Cherie Blaire foundation for women in business. It’s amazing to be able to do something in service of others especially when that’s one of your core values. I now have about 12 private clients in my kitty- they all come from different backgrounds- banking, IT, culinary arts, marketing etc – and each has their own story to tell and their own wheel of life to work on.
I help high achiever women (especially mums) who are feeling stuck and overwhelmed and are looking for a transition- either to do their own business or change their present role at work. If you are feeling indecisive or sitting on the fence haunted by your limiting beliefs to take the next step, I might be able to help you, since I am a clarity and success mindset coach and I use my life experience, my work experience and my coaching tools to help you get clear on your next steps and do something that you are passionate about. In this whole process so far, I have worked with many life coaches, business coach and high level mentor including attending a 4 day mastery event with Tony Robbins, Bob Proctor that has transformed the way I work and live. Here’s an article I published with Thrive Global about how I was able to wove the beads of spirituality and my coaching business together.
If you thought my story ends here, ahem, no it doesn’t! I am a typical Aquarian, curious to learn more and more and why not? That just tells me that I am alive and makes me feel so grateful for life in general. So alongside this, I am now also a director of a corporate merchandise company that I have started with 2 other friends, so if you are looking for any promotional marketing items with your logo engraved, you know where to come. I am super excited to be processing our first client order as we speak.
As I write this it makes me think how far I have come from being a corporate woman to having 2 businesses to run and a baby in tow. At times it can be busy and stressful too- after all if you want to make your business work, you got to constantly deliver value to your ideal client/target market and be known. The fears and struggles I had to overcome- working on my money mindset, lack of self-esteem, finding a right work life balance- well I haven’t mastered it all yet but I am more educated and aware and definitely more proactive in getting this in order.
What is a day in the life of you like as a coach?
I do my morning rituals- 5 minutes of gratitude prayer, 10 minutes of deep breathing and then if I have more time depending on whether my little one has woken up by then or not. I do journalling- thoughts,to-do’s, goals etc. I then drop my little one off to nursery and I am usually either using those 3 hours till she is away on client calls, creating content, networking, engaging with like minded people, reading self development books or doing admin stuff related to coaching. During the evenings after my daughter has hit her bed are usually spent focusing on my merchandise business.
How did you launch High Vibes Coaching?
I was so adamant to name my coaching practice as ‘High Vibes’ just because I strongly felt a connection with this phrase. As a high vibes coach, I am empowering my clients to step up the frequency of their energy’s vibration and faciliate changes in whatever areas they wish to. I am an action taker and absoutley obsessed with motivating people who work with me to their next best level. Hence ‘High Vibes Coaching’ came into play1 This reflects me and my mission in life.
Can you tell us more about the action plan that you put together to help empower high achieving moms?
I have my private one to one coaching practice and I also run group program, workshops and an online course to help high achiever mums smash their overwhelm and get clarity on their next plan of action. More than that, I am doing lots of networking and as we speak, I am currently creating a program to run in the corporates for executives and also writing a journal to be published very soon.
How are you personally balancing your own work and family life?
I believe balance isn’t the right word as balance means something that’s static. Life is dynamic with so many variables impacting our day to day choices intermittently. It’s all about harmony. There are times when work or family related issues can challenge you to the core but it’s about how you choose to respond to the situation. I am very clear on what my mornings are available and my evenings. Being self employed, I have an edge that I can choose my own hours.
I have my boundaries as to where and when do I draw a line when it comes to work and lifestyle. There are times when one thing has taken precedence over the other. It all depends on what your values are. Work and life aren’t 2 separate components but work is an important part of life.
Only when you are clear on your values, your goals then you are able to make better decisions which leads to better choices. Yes, I can choose my hours and I also take time to nurture my soul by indulging in things I love to do. I choose to create harmony between different elements of life by constantly checking with myself and my family as to what’s working better for us and what’s not and what can we do to change it.
Who does the team involve behind you at High Vibes Coaching?
I have a virtual assistant who helps me with my marketing intermittently.
Where can you see your self within the next 3-5 years?
Delivering speaking engagements in the corporate industry and organising retreats.
Can you tell us what areas you have struggled in professionally?
Tech areas as I am not tech savvy at all, hence the reason I chose to hire a VA to help me with my marketing campaign.
Have you ever had any other mentor? If so how has this benefitted you to grow?
Yes absolutely, I have been working with coaches and mentors since I landed on this path. Having them meant more accountability, working on my own mindset regularly, getting clear on my financial goals, creating content that’s resonant with my idea client’s aspirations.
What outlets do use to market High Vibes Coaching?
Social media platforms and work of mouth at networking events.
Which methods are you using to build your own support network?
Networking, collaborations, accountability partners.
What do you believe are the common misconceptions of being a momtrepreneur?
That you will struggle with a work life balance as you will be always working in business. You have the power to choose, you just need to create clear boundaries. Another common misconception is that being a mumpreneur means you have to make sacrifices and you might miss out on responsibilities of being a full time mum. Again, this is just not true, I always advocate that you need to delegate and outsource what you can’t handle to allow you more time with family, if that’s what you like.
Like I say, it’s an investment in your business. It also helps to you teach your children the importance of hard work, patience and sacrifices that come with success. You become an inspiration for your children and at the same time your children become an inspiration for you to help you keep pushing to give your best. Successful mumpreneurs today raise their children and their businesses and shape them into entities that everyone can be proud of.
What 3 tip would can you advice for millennials moms wanting to succeed in thier own business?
- Start focusing on creating work and life harmony instead of work life balance. Throw perfection outside the window and be clear on your values you want to honour instead.
- Outsource and delegate which is beyond your area of expertise- it’s worth it
- Hire a coach to fast track your vision.

Your coach isn’t a great one if he/she isn’t investing in a coach for themselves.
What is the number 1 critical lesson you have learned in your career so far?
Outsource and delegate what is beyond your area of expertise, it helped me massively despite costing me money. I learned a lot and I have only gotten better.
The highlight of your career so far?

What barriers have you faced whilst building High Vibes Coaching?
The tech side of business and also having a money mindset, which I have worked a lot on over the past 9 months.
