This week we meet Sabrina Chakici, TV Presenter for E! and host of Clutch & Carry-on. Sabrina, the much in demand TV presenter and fashion blogger has definitely amassed quite some admirers on her Instagram page so we manage to squeeze in some quick fire questions with the TV beauty and we find out what she gets up to in-between cuddling with her dog Coco and avoiding hitting the snooze button.
Whats the first thing you do when you open your eyes in the morning?
Have a cuddle with my dog Coco, she doesn’t sleep in our bed but she runs up in the morning to wake me up every day.
Do you ever hit the snooze button?
All the time, it’s lethal though, no good ever comes out of pressing snooze!
Any particular motto you live each day by?
You can turn it all around – I love this saying so much I have it tattooed!
What is your number one rule when it comes to keeping focused and staying balanced in both your personal and work life?
In order to stay focused I’m an avid list maker, my phone is full of ‘To Do’ lists, I don’t know where I’d be without them! Then when it comes to staying balanced with my personal and work life I try to always make sure that I am present in the moment, time is the one thing you can’t get back.

Congratulations on E! What has been the highlight of your career so far?
Thank-you, it was a real whirlwind! My first ever job for E! was presented at The British Fashion Awards, it was incredible to be thrown in at the deep end and my second interview of the night was Lady Gaga so that was a bit mental! The 30-minute show aired on E! Worldwide, it was the biggest pinch me moment of my life!
Can you tell us why it’s always important to remain authentic even through difficult times of securing high profile TV work?
Authenticity can actually be quite difficult when working in the Media industry, you have to be able to adapt to certain shows and roles but at the same time always be yourself. I like to have a good chat and a giggle with my production team before filming so I am more natural when I start working. I think if you are trying to be someone else it comes to the surface so easily and although it may not have been intentional it can come across dishonest to the viewers.
What has been the hardest barrier you have had to overcome and how did you do?
I worked as a TV presenter for years before securing E! Also I blogged for years before Clutch and Carry-On became a success, it’s all in the lead-up. I worked nights for two years solid on The Jewellery Channel whilst writing during the day and auditioning for new presenting opportunities, I was surviving on 4 hours sleep most days but I was so focused and determined to make it.
You are also a travel expert too, where is the best place you have been to so far?
I have a love affair with the Indian Ocean, the sea life there is incredible. I’m a little bit of a mermaid when it comes to traveling! My favourite hotel is probably The Conrad Maldives, they treat me like a member of the family and I always feel completely relaxed and rejuvenated when I am there.
