Hey Rebecca, can you introduce yourselves to us?

I’m full of gratitude for this opportunity, thank you so much I appreciate you. I’m Rebecca Adams, a 39yr old Mum of two. My son was diagnosed with autism when he was 3yrs old and I’ve always been a voice for him. He’s just turned 20yrs old (time flies!). I am also an Army Veteran too. I’m an International Life Mastery Mentor™, a Mindset & Business Coach, Law of Attraction Practitioner, #1 International Bestselling Co-Author, and a Motivator.

I empower people to feel alive and live a phenomenal life through my online programs, “Real & Raw at 4” Facebook Lives, my Ignite Academy monthly membership, my private coaching and also my upcoming IGNITE Live Event in April 2019.

Can you take us through your journey so we can understand a bit more in depth about how you arrived at where you are now?

I have been in business well over a decade and have always worked on mindset (it’s something that I master in) but to turn the corner of becoming a Life Mastery Mentor™ full-time something changed in me after I was involved in a car accident.

It was the wakeup call I needed for my life and business but especially for my children. Being a single parent knowing that the children needed me to be healthy and safe meant that I had to change my business blueprint and shake things up a bit.

I immersed myself in becoming qualified as a Life Coach and I have just stepped it up from there ever since. I realised that this was my true calling and it aligned with everything that I had been working on up until that point.

What is a day in the life of you like?

All my days are different which is wonderful as I design my days as I like. I always know in the morning what my day consists of as I plan ahead. Howver, I always start off the day at exactly the same by waking up and practising my gratitude, mindset and personal development.

My gratitude regime I have been doing since probably about 2004 so I have a high level of emotion attached to it too so it’s not just words coming out of my mouth – all of the thoughts and feelings are there and I’m also very specific. My gratitude is everything to me and it sets me up for the day ahead. I also practise gratitude all day throughout every day, no matter what I’m doing (on my lunch break or coffee break).

Mindset & Personal Development I combine together so I’ll work on my affirmations, listen to great music, read or watch a youtube video. I’ll also go through how I want the day to go, my feelings and what I’d like to receive – always positive.

The day then progresses to getting ready, pulling an Angel card, doing my meditation and then working with my clients, on my packages, programs, upcoming projects and client calls, that I absolutely adore!

What was the start-up process of becoming a self-employed life and business coach?

I started a business coaching back in 2003 and I incorporated life to coach in 2014 so now it’s combined and starting up was pretty easy, although I found out quickly that consistency is needed constantly. I didn’t have a website back then so it was more face-to-face networking and emails etc.

Being in business for yourself can be quite scary for some, but believing 100% in your goal, planning and taking action are the 3 things that have kept me going throughout the years. It’s the work you do in order to show up for your clients consistently, focusing on value and impact and their results is what makes it meaningful.

Can you tell us how you are helping your clients to conquer their life and finally go for everything that they desire?

I find that a lot of my clients know where they want to be, what they want to have and what they want to do but don’t know necessarily the steps in order to get there. Every single one of them wants to be happy and content and be free. To experience time freedom, financial freedom and to spend more time travelling and with their families.

I work very closely with my clients and empower them by really diving deep into their mindset, which includes their money mindset, their core values and building their self-belief and confidence. The next step I help them with is to align with their more expanded why, vision and define their legacy. This then leads onto productivity and success mastery, where we gain clarity on their business and what’s needed to expand, elevate and leverage to its full potential and then I work with them on their 90-day life mastery plan. The whole process is in flow in order for them to know, truly believe and take action so that they can receive all of their true desires in both life and business.

How are you encouraging your clients to master their mindset?

I always encourage my clients to work on their mindset consistently daily at a higher level starting with gratitude. Changing their way of thinking from a negative to a positive and gaining control of their mindset is the biggest gift they can ever give to themselves.

Knowing that they can’t control everything or anyone but knowing that they can truly master their mind and not give the key to their brain to anyone is quite liberating for them. They begin to feel calmer and at peace knowing that they want to feel good and not listen to the negative naysayers or even that negative voice inside their own head. Especially as they can be their own worst enemy but also their best cheerleader too.

Working constantly to acknowledge when they may have just thought a negative thought to actually controlling it and not reacting takes time and patience but it’s something worthwhile to do and the results my clients are receiving for themselves is such a joy.

Who does the team involve?

Just myself. I wear all the hats.

Where can you see yourself within the next 3-5 years?

I can see myself travelling more around this beautiful planet, making memories and really impacting so many people positively with my work, programs, live event, facebook lives and much more. Helping my clients and audience to really gain control of their mindset to create the desired freedom and life and business that they want.

Connecting with so many people worldwide and helping to build water pipelines in people’s homes in Haiti. Expanding my business even further internationally and helping to change people’s lives for the better.

How are you planning to expand the services you offer?

I am expanding my business by my ever-growing Ignite Academy monthly membership club and also by hosting my IGNITE Live Event in the UK. IGNITE is a personal development & empowerment experience and will consist of guest speakers from around the world, entertainment, a Gala Dinner and much more. The impact and golden nuggets guests will receive from attending is going to be an inspiring, liberating game-changer for them.

I’m also looking at a yearly mentorship and also launching my programs and packages regularly to access and impact more people. I’m going to be using Instagram much more and share great value and content to help my audience – no matter whether they buy or not. It’s all about the connections and value they receive that they can implement within their own life and business.

Can you tell us what areas you have struggled in professionally as an author?

You know, this may be something that a lot of people will be nodding their head at, but for me, starting to write the book and chapter is the biggest struggle I think. Once I’ve started writing and I’m in the flow that’s great. I don’t have an issue with things being edited or cut out of the final copy so yes, just the starting to write would be it.

Can you take us down the publishing route and the journey behind becoming the best selling author?

Of course, I was offered an incredible opportunity to be a part of a project with other women globally to be a co-author. I jumped at the chance and chose a subject close to my heart to write about and went for it. I was so grateful to become a published author I didn’t even think that we may get a title with it but it became an Amazon #1 International Bestseller. Since the 1st book, I have collaborated in a few more books and they’ve all made the #1 International Bestseller list so I’m very honoured and humbled to have been a part of it all. I write close to my heart and my main focus, when writing anything, is to be authentic and real to the reader and relatable too. I love to write.

Have you ever had any other mentor? If so how has this benefitted you to grow?

I always have a coach and mentor. I truly believe that every day you can learn something new, not only as an entrepreneur but also as a human being. Having the mentors and coaches I have had over the years has benefitted me immensely, as their expertise and knowledge has helped me to step up, become visible, to go bigger and stop playing small plus to serve from the heart to help people in their life and business. I’m impacting and giving value constantly and my clients are seeing their own powerful results.

What outlets do use to market your company?

I use social media, email newsletters and word of mouth too. Building relationships is huge and it’s something I focus on completely. No matter what platform I use, I always go for the value that I can help people with – even just one thing that they can take action and implement is great.

Which methods are you using to build your own support network?

I’m all about building relationships, as I’ve mentioned before, so I actively listen to my audience, ask questions and really show a genuine interest in them, whether they’ve been on holiday, got married or had a baby I make the conversation real and true. It is all about them, no matter whether they purchase from me or not, they know I’m real, raw and don’t see them as a pound or dollar sign, they get value regardless. I host a local monthly mastermind at my home and we help each other with our businesses, which is great. Once a month coaching calls with my Ignite Academy members and also leaving voice-notes of encouragement and much more is wonderful for my audience and network.

What do you believe are the common misconceptions about being an author?

I think the main one is that you’ll become a millionaire from writing your 1st book within a matter of days or weeks but also thinking you can just post an image on social media (without the rest of the work) and you’ll make lots of money instantly.

What would you like to see changed for millennials in business?

Nurturing the clients, customers and knowing that they can achieve anything but it takes momentum and consistency. It’s not necessarily going to happen overnight. Over time yes.

What is the best piece of advice you have received to date?

That there’s always a way – no matter what! Which I’ve actually turned into my quote of “If there’s a brick wall – get around it, through it, under it or over it – get on the other side.” and, it’s so true.

What is the number 1 critical lesson you have learned in your career so far?

Wow! Okay, are you ready?!? It is not to trust everyone. Look after yourself, your business, your life and your money. It may sound kind of negative but it will help with the small print of contracts, the accounts and knowing that some people are genuine but some aren’t. With that advice though, stay true to you and be kind and nice. Always go with your head because the does heart mend.

How do you create an evenly balanced work and personal life?

It takes discipline working from home as there can be many distractions but having a planner that you can time-block and schedule everything into is a must.

The highlight of your career so far?

Great question – the highlight for me (I have so many) Being offered so many incredible opportunities to be on radio shows, in magazines and becoming an author.

But, the main highlight is when I receive lovely messages from my clients, audience, network, and followers that they have taken action on (a piece of advice I have given), I’ve uplifted them with my facebook live, they resonated with me after reading my chapter and that they’re getting incredible results from working with me. It’s phenomenal and makes me tear up every time.

What gives you ultimate career satisfaction?

Receiving messages from my clients and hearing of their results – there’s no feeling like it. It’s wonderful and I’m so grateful I can help assist them with their life and business.

What barriers have you faced whilst becoming an author?

None that I can think of. I can always sell more books.

Which other leading entrepreneurs and pioneering game changers do you also admire and why?

Sir Richard Branson is a big one for me. I absolutely love how he throws everything at a project and doesn’t get off course even if something goes wrong. It shows true entrepreneurship and leadership for his team.

Sandi Krakowski is awesome. She really is down-to-earth and knows a lot. She pours so much goodness out into the world for entrepreneurs helping them with their businesses and she keeps her feet on the ground – it’s wonderful to see.

How would you say you are intending to use your voice to educate others in the coaching industry?

By being myself – my own original blueprint and helping other coaches to step up their own life and business, believe in themselves and become visible. So many are scared to be on camera or they lack self-belief in their knowledge, skills, and expertise. I intend to use my voice to help elevate the coaches to step into their power, go for it and own it.

What is a good article or book you have read recently?

‘The Wisdom Of Sundays’ by Oprah Winfrey is amazing and a book I highly recommend.

What does your Podcast playlist look like?

On my podcast, I always listen to Ali Brown, it’s just so real which is why I resonate with it so much, and I’ve also just subscribed to Pat Flynn too.

How do you measure your own terms of success?

I measure my own level of success to me not burning the midnight oil consistently and actually getting to sleep before 2am. Sometimes, when I have big projects on I do work a lot but streamlining my business has helped considerably with this. Relaxing and being able to watch a little bit of TV as I usually only watch the programs I record, meaning that my work is complete and it’s great to switch off.

What does #BEYOUROWN mean to you?

It means so much to be honest – I always say “Be your own original blueprint” but for me, it’s so much more. Be your own beautiful, be your own power, be your own superhero, be your own incredible human being, be your own entrepreneur and lastly be your own you.

Lastly, what is next for you throughout 2018?

I am launching this year’s International Interview Series 2018 as last years was fabulous, so that’s going live on November 1st. I am also launching quite a few programs to help entrepreneurs with sales, coaching, mindset and much more, plus I’m writing a lot of value and content on my social media posts and in my groups.

I’m also selling tickets to my IGNITE Live event for April 2019 in Bath, UK. Super thrilled that Julian Smith (from Britain’s Got Talent) is going to be at the Gala Dinner too. So, a full 4months ahead and I will be scheduling in Christmas shopping too.
