Melissa Snover is an entrepreneur and trendsetter in the world of food technology and 3D printing – she’s passionate about developing innovations that offer solutions to her customers, challenge her competitors and disrupt current market offerings.

She is currently the founder and CEO of Rem3dy Group which pioneers personalised health solutions across nutrition and medicine under the brands Nourished and Scripted. What’s more, she recently closed one of the largest seed rounds raised in the UK by a female founder – more than £2 million of investment.


A note from Melissa

I have always been passionate about innovation. The way in which technology is now revolutionising food supply chains and health and medical practices around the world is fascinating to me, and the positive impact it can have on millions of people’s lives is truly remarkable.

For the last 5 years, I have been dedicating my skills to creating ground-breaking technology which can offer personalised solutions for everyday consumers; enhancing their experiences and lifestyle in the process. Previously my entrepreneurial journey had led me to establish a hugely profitable financial business at the age of 23 and shortly afterwards develop the world’s first vegan confectionery brand, which I later sold to a multinational conglomerate. However, nothing in my career has given me the satisfaction and joy which I now feel with Nourished. 

I believe that the gratification I feel with my current venture is a direct correlation between the hard work, failings and triumphs I experienced in creating the brand, and the feedback I now receive from our customers and peers who have fallen in love with what we do. As with any new concept, the road has not been an easy one. Because we were developing a completely innovative technology and product, there were no textbooks or case studies I could study to help guide me.  We underwent an intense period of research and development for over a year and suffered many setbacks to get to where we are today. It is that experience that now makes every customer review, award and press coverage even more meaningful, and certainly reassures me that Nourished is almost impossible to replicate! 

Nourished is also the most personal project of my career. I first came up with the concept when I was travelling for my previous business Magic Candy Factory. As an avid consumer of vitamins, I used to carry around with me a bulky container of supplements when I travelled. On this occasion, I accidentally dropped the container whilst going through airport security in Dusseldorf airport, and had to crawl round in my suit and heels picking them all up. I decided there must be an easier way to take supplements and so I sought to find a way to simplify the way we take vitamins and make the combinations 100% customised to the consumer. Of all the things we personalise, our health and wellness should be top priority! 

Nourished is now the embodiment of all the things I cherish and value in my own life. Sustainability, personalisation, convenience, quality, innovation and efficiency are at the heart of everything we do. Since I was a little girl, I have had intense passion, ambition, vision and dedication; all of which I am certain I inherited from my mother! It is all of those characteristics which have helped to steer me through my entrepreneurial journey, where I have also picked up resilience and perseverance along the way (it’s almost impossible not to as a female founder in the tech industry!). However, my dream to develop the world’s first truly personalised nutrition product could not have been possible without the support and expertise of my incredible team, who have now become like a family to me.
