Originally from Germany, Life Purpose founder Monika Kloeckner is a life purpose coach and advanced theta healing practitioner. Life Purpose Coaching is a coaching and complementary therapy business based in the South East of England. The company was founded by Monika in 2010 offering coaching on food addiction and has since expanded its services in helping women find and live their life purpose.
With her inspiring coaching program, Monika has helped women from all walks of life who struggled with bad eating habits, emotional issues but wants to lead a healthier and happier life. In her book ‘Food Addiction No More – 21 days to change your mind on overeating for good,’ Monika describes the belief change technique she applies in her sessions.
Monika has helped women to change their minds on being addicted to food in her unique technique and coaching style. But her real passion awakened when she studied life purpose coaching in February 2017 to April 2017. She connected with the subject and noticed that she had arrived at her life purpose destination: inspiring and empowering women to find theirs.
Hey Monika, can you introduce yourselves to us?
Hi, my name is Monika Kloeckner and I am known as the life purpose coach with a passion. I empower women to find and live their soul’s mission. To add more value to my coaching business I became a certified theta healing practitioner in 2010. I am the author of Food Addiction No More – 21 days to change your mind on overeating for good. In addition to coaching, I also offer a spiritual healing modality called Theta Healing. I live in the South East of England with my two cats Lilo and Penny.
You mentioned that your real passion was awakened when you studied a life purpose coaching course in February to April 2017. Can you tell us what the most important key factor is you took away from that experience that enabled you to get set to where you are now?
While studying the subject it became clear to me that I have to make the decision to leave my day job in order to make my business work. I knew that I had to set an example for all the women I have coached and will be coaching in the future. I knew that when only I live my life purpose I can teach others how to move forward and do the same.
Can you talk us through what happens in a theta healing session?
The face to face session begins with the client sitting me, the practitioner. The client can decide to hold hands with me as this allows our cells to talk to one another which helps to transition to a theta brainwave.
I will then connect to the Creator of All That is which enables me to go into theta. I ask the client whether I can come into her space. This allows me to tune in with her body and mind. As part of the session, I would ask questions of how, when, what and so on to find the core belief which is holding together a whole pyramid of beliefs. Once this core belief is found I would connect to the Creator of All That Is and command the belief being pulled and replaced with positive beliefs. All other negative beliefs fall away and also are changed to the positive. The client feels lighter, happier and general well-being is restored.
The technique to find the core belief is called Muscle Testing and digging for the core belief. Muscle testing is applied kinesiology and is applied to find the core belief in the subconscious mind.
Can you tell us about your first book, “Food Addiction No more – 21 days to change your mind on overeating for good,” and what was the incentive behind the launch?
The book teaches the reader the simplified technique of theta healing. The reader can try out theta healing themselves. I used to be a food addict for many years. Due to a hectic lifestyle, I struggled to eat healthy food. I gained more and more weight over a short period of time and was not able to control my hunger pangs. With learning theta healing I managed to change my beliefs and became emotionally more stable. Because food addiction is a big subject all year round I felt that this book would be beneficial for my readers.
You also are due to launch your second book ‘Soul Wisdom,’ how exciting! What was the thought process behind this one?
I became aware of my soul trying to communicate with me during various situations in my life. The most important message I received to date was last year in September. My soul communicated to me that I have to leave my job in order to make my business work. This book is a second theta healing book. Theta healing means among other things “soul”. I noticed that by doing theta healing daily myself by grounding myself and connection to the creator of all that is, my sou,l became a very integral part of me (as it is anyway). All our souls communicate with us but we dismiss this as unimportant or we simply do not listen to it. This book will help my readers to take vital steps to listen to their soul and find their life purpose.
What does the team involve at Life Purpose Coaching?
At the moment I am a one-woman team. But as my business progresses I am planning to employ a PR and an events manager as of next year.
Where do you see yourself within the next 3-5 years?
Within the next 3 years, I want to expand my business globally, offering women from all walks of life to gain access to my services.
In about 5 years’ time, I want to hold retreats in Devon, UK, and Germany. My goal is to build a Bed& Breakfast type of retreat where women can vacation all year round and take part in my spiritual seminars.
How are you planning to expand Life Purpose Coaching?
As I have just mentioned, I am planning to expand my business globally. My goal is to write more books on coaching and theta healing. With this in mind, I will be looking for innovative ways to expand on the that. I am thinking of offering online courses in particular.
Can you tell us what areas you have struggled professionally?
The social media marketing is my biggest struggle. I have made progress in the last few months but I still have to learn a lot about it.
Have you had any other mentor? If so how has this benefitted you to grow?
I have never had a particular mentor. I learned the most from people I have grown up with, went to school with and have worked with. I always say that we meet everyone in life for a reason. The main reason is that we need to learn a lesson so that we, in turn, can learn from it and grow.
What outlets do you use to market Life Purpose Coaching?
My favorite one is Pinterest. I currently have 13k unique visitors and almost 400 followers. The numbers are rising daily. My second favorite outlet is Instagram followed by Facebook.
Which methods are you using to build your own network?
I love talking to people everywhere I go. This can the cashier in the supermarket, the lady opposite me on the train or the waitress in the restaurant. By talking to people face to face I can see their reactions and discuss their opinions. I get first-hand feedback for my business.
What do you believe are the common misconceptions about being in the wellness and coaching industry?
I don’t put myself into the category wellness industry. I belong to the Mind, Body, Spirit industry as theta healing is a spiritual practice. But one misconception is that some people believe that they do not need to see a doctor. They want to come to therapy instead. If appropriate, I ask my clients to see their GP first, especially with weight loss and food addiction.
What would you like to see changed for millennials in business?
I would love to see more women be bold, courageous and committed to living their life purpose. I see too many women who still have the fear of change. I always say that if you do not overcome that fear you always will stay in the comfort zone you are now.
What is the best piece of advice you have received to date?
A friend of mine told me a long time ago to never give up. Keep working on my business and push through the barriers and that I will get there.
How do you create an evenly balanced work and personal life?
I begin each day with a grounding exercise and a ten-minute meditation. I sometimes go for a walk or for a swim before breakfast. Other than that I love meeting up with my friends for coffee and have a chat. But I also try to go to the cinema and theatre once in a while.
The highlight of your career so far?
I have held a workshop on Turning Points this year at The Best You Expo at London Olympia. This was my first time that I had to speak in front of a larger audience which was filmed at the same time. I was very nervous as it was my first time.
What gives you the ultimate career satisfaction?
When a customer tells me how happy and content she felt after a theta healing or coaching session. I have seen some of my customer an increase in their confidence. Whenever a customer succeeds, I have succeeded too.
Which other leading entrepreneurs and pioneering game changers do you also admire and why?
I admire Hilary Devey. She has fulfilled her dream of running her own business, has worked through all her upheavals in life and has succeeded.
How would you say you are intending to use your voice to educate others in the coaching industry?
I am planning to hold talks and workshops for coaches to teach them how to build their business. My goal is to give them the confidence that they can become a successful entrepreneur even in a market that is oversaturated.
What is a good article or book you have read recently?
I have read Hilary Devey’s book ‘As Bold As Brass,’ which inspired me to succeed in my business despite the up and downs I have already experienced.
What does your podcast playlist look like?
I listen to theta meditations, but I also listen to Spanish and Southern American music.
How do you measure your own term of success?
I set myself daily goals towards achieving my ultimate goals. At the end of each week and month, I write a summary of what I have achieved as this gives me an overview of what I have already achieved and what still needs to be done.
Lastly, what is next for you and Life Purpose Coaching?
I have teamed up with the London based online magazine Mama Wins. Currently, I contribute articles about life purpose and theta healing. In the next few weeks and months, I will be recording free tips videos for their website. Later in the year, I will be holding seminars at their offices in Islington. In October 2018, I will be promoting my current book as well as the new one at the UK Southern Book Show in Worthing.
You also offer face 2 face sessions….
With face 2 face sessions, the interaction with the client is so much more personal. I am able to see their body language. The conversations are flowing better. And as the coach, I am able to enhance my sessions with role play and other exercises.
Can you tell us more about your mentorship…
My mentorship programme is all tailor-made, they are personally designed by me for my client. It begins with the initial call where I start to make notes about what the customer says. When the customer signs up I hold one initial call where I ask questions around the subject and the goals the customer has. With all the information I have gathered in both calls I create the program.
I am intuitive which means I unconsciously pick up on things other people don’t. For example, I become aware quickly of a person’s fear or anxiety. I notice when a customer has doubts. Whatever the customer emanates unconsciously I notice. This is what we call “energy.” Every person emanates energy other people can pick up on.
I also have the ability to always connect with the ‘Creator of All That Is’ and ask what does the customer need? What help can I give the customer? I apply this method in coaching before the customer arrives.
