Hey Jordan, can you introduce yourself to us?
I am a fast talker. I say it like it is. I create order and harmony in the world. I’m a natural born leader. I’ve been a Graphic Designer, Photographer, Jewellery Maker, Makeup Artist, Art Director, Creative Director, and Coach. I’m totally obsessed with personal growth. I’m intense. I’m super passionate. I’m a planner. I’m Type A and highly organised. I’m super pumped 80% of the time. I’m resourceful. I love to learn. I’m really good at what I do. I’ve learned how to cultivate gratitude. I could be better at mindfulness and drinking more green juice.
What does your career timeline look like?
- 1999 Graduated from UPenn with a degree in Photography and Design.
- 2000-2004 Was one of the 3 founding members of the Ant Farm Print Department and I got my start making movie posters.
- 2005 I received a commission from a well-known celebrity that allowed me to leave my job. I sold all my possessions and traveled around the world by myself.
- 2006 I studied Makeup Artistry and Hairstyling and worked as a Makeup Artist
- 2007-2010 I realied my dream was really to be a Photographer so I went back to school and got to work building my book. I continued to freelance and make movie posters.
- 2010-2012 I worked at the top entertainment advertising firm in Los Angeles and worked my ass off.
- 2013 I got pregnant. I lost my job. I lost my house. My grandma died. I moved while 8 months pregnant. My water broke at 33 weeks and I was in the hospital on bedrest for 2 weeks. I willed myself into labor hours before they wanted to induce me and was able to have the drug free birth I wanted. I realised that if I could make such a mess of my life then I had some serious work to do. Watching my life fall apart and giving birth without drugs showed me that I can do ANYTHING. Fear no longer controlled my life.
- 2013-2016 I partnered with Beachbody and lost my baby weight and fell in love with coaching. I learned all about social media, networking, sales, online business, and more.
- 2017-Present I ended my Beachbody business and hired a business coach. Ignite Your Soul Brand was born. My business proceeded to grow exponentially every month because I had finally landed on my true calling.
- 2018-I left my full-time job and was able to move out of Los Angeles. My dream life finally became my real life.
What is a day in the life of you like as a brand strategist?
I’m still getting into a new routine now that I am full time in my business. My week consists of admin time, coursework, client work, 1:1 call, breakthrough sessions, social media, family time, masterminding and manifesting with my husband, walks, fitness, cooking, reading, meditation, zooms with my biz besties, snuggling with my dog, Netflix, chocolate, and mushroom coffee.
How did you launch your business?
I hired a business coach. I initially wanted to be a life coach helping people with balance. After 10 market research calls where I spent 45 min asking people about their business and brand I realised I wasn’t seeing the forest through the trees. I figured out what I wanted to teach people and made a program. I went to Unleash the Power Within for the second time and on the last day sat next to an amazing couple. We were the perfect match and her and her wife enrolled in my program and became my first clients. The Universe put me in business. It was meant to be effortless because I was aligned. The majority of my clients find me through Instagram, my Soul Brand Quiz or my FREE Masterclass.
Can you talk to us about how you are helping spiritual entrepreneurs to create a powerful authentic brand?
It’s all about tapping into my client’s subconscious and drawing out their brand. They already know what they want but don’t know how to verbalise it or give it form. That’s what I do. I help my clients clear away the mental and emotional sludge that is mucking up the waters of their dream. I guide them to clarity so they can learn how to language what they do and then I help them figure out what that brand looks like visually. I’ve started to integrate more business coaching and Instagram training with my clients as well so they can tie the monetisation piece into the brand and marketing. As I grow, I can help my clients in new ways. Ultimately, I help them see what’s inside and give it form. I don’t work the way a traditional graphics or branding designer works. Instead of giving you my interpretation of your brand I help you give form to YOUR VISION. My business has taught me how to listen. A lot of the visual work I do is intuitive. I can see and feel your brand and how to tell your brand story with imagery. All my years in advertising has helped me with copywriting. I have named countless businesses for my clients and write taglines. This is the work I was born to do.
Why do you feel that brand authenticity plays a key role in business building for entrepreneurs?
For me, everything comes down to energy. When you aren’t being authentic then there’s a blockage in your energy. Something is holding you back from truly being you. That can manifest as self-doubt, limiting beliefs, values conflicts, being out of alignment, living in a negative emotional state, living someone else’s dream or expectations for you. When you are clear on who you REALLY are and what your purpose is and allow that to come through in your messaging and then have professional images and an online presence to back it up then you’re magnetic. People cannot help but be drawn to you. There is no resistance between you and your desires so people, clients, opportunities, etc can come through so you can deliver your mission and live in your zone of genius.
What 3 tips would you give to start-ups that are branding on a shoe-string budget?
Take action. Figure out your mission. Get creative. Be resourceful AF. Be persistent. Be tenacious. Book in clients even if you don’t have a website, use good stock photos until you can get your own photoshoot. Pick an aesthetic and stick with it and be consistent. Even if it isn’t perfect you’re creating brand integrity and trust and you can up-level your visual branding later. As soon as you have the funds get a professional brand shoot. That doesn’t mean hire a cheap photographer and take photos in front of a brick wall. Please, no brick walls. Put some effort into your styling and get your hair and makeup done. Make sure to get mostly horizontal images.
Who does the team involve behind you?
My husband. My daughter. My family. The universe and her magic. I have multiple VAs. I have a nutrition coach to help me stay accountable for taking care of myself. I’m looking into a personal trainer. However, I do have an accountability buddy. At the moment I invest in coaches, programs, seminars, courses, etc.
I have a full team for my VIP shoots who I love and adore and have worked with on and off for years. We have a shorthand. My NLP master trainer on my team supports my clients even deeper with their mindset so that I can focus on helping my clients with their messaging, clarity, branding, etc.

Where can you see yourself within the next 3-5 years?
I have a multi-million dollar business. Ignite Your Soul Brand is a household name. I’ve created the GO TO brand for spiritual entrepreneurs. I have a sales team. I speak at conferences. I’ve gotten rid of my LA girl accent (likes, ums, you knows), I’m making art just for the sake of making art. I meditate 2x day. I get regular spa treatments. I go on date nights with my husband a few times a month. We take our daughter to travel all over the world and stay in nice hotels and expose her to the many facets of life. I have the time and money to give back in big ways.
How are you planning to expand further?
I have some self-paced programs in the works so that I can help people on a greater scale. I am getting certified as a master NLP practitioner next year. I’m pondering taking the trainers training and going even deeper down that road and integrating it into the world that I do. I would love to creative direct photo shoots for high-end brands – Nike, Anthropology, J. Crew, Lululemon… etc. Any big brand who wants to tell their brand story in a captivating way and showcases the multi-facets of their brand.
Can you tell us what areas you have struggled in professionally?
I’ve had many struggles. I’ve done time in the top LA entertainment advertising agencies. I’ve worked until 2 am creating movie posters for the latest Spiderman movies. I’ve had to prove myself in a man’s world. I had to learn how to believe in myself. My greatest wish was to be a professional photographer but I was too proud to seek the guidance of a coach or become an assistant. I thought that would make me weak so I attempted to do it all by myself. I wasted a lot of time and reached a point where we couldn’t afford for me to not have a steady pay-cheque. I went back to advertising and gave up on my dream. It was soul crushing and I haven’t picked up a camera since. I know what it’s like to give up on your dream. Believe me, when I say, I know what it’s like to pick yourself back up and reinvent yourself.
Have you ever had any branding mentor yourself? If so how has this benefitted you to grow?
I’ve been blessed to work with some of the most talented people in the industry. Julian Hills was my first mentor and taught me the importance of creating beautiful art and to be a font snob. Peter Stark believed in me and taught me how to be the best and accept nothing less. Richard Rho taught me how to create beauty in photoshop. Sean Serio trusted me with some of the biggest projects at NBC. Michael Hathaway gave me the opportunity to think for myself and do what I thought was best for a project. Cara Rice was my business mentor and gave me the space to believe in myself and create my dream business.
What outlets do use to market your services?
Instagram is my jam. Podcasts. Summits. Paid advertising. Referrals. I find having integrity and doing amazing work speaks for itself.
Which methods are you using to build your own support network?
Conferences. I’ve met some incredible people at live events. Something special happens when you share that intimate, vulnerable space with people.
What do you believe are the common misconceptions about being an entrepreneur?
That it’s easy. That there is a moment when it stops being hard. That it happens quickly. That there is such-a-thing as an overnight success. That you can start off at $10k months. That you need to do it all by yourself. That you can somehow bypass doing the work. That the secret to success is in the practical. The success of your business is directly related to your mindset.
What would you like to see changed for millennials in business?
Work ethic. Have more passion. Have more drive. Stop ghosting people and speak your mind. Take initiative. Be resourceful and do the hard work.
What is the best piece of advice you have received to date?
Don’t work for free.
What is the number 1 critical lesson you have learned in your career so far?
Invest in yourself.
How do you create an evenly balanced work and personal life?
This is a constant work in progress. I am far from perfect in this area. I believe it’s about aligning your priorities with your actions. Balance is fleeting. It’s not about everything being even but about putting your energy where it most needs to go right now to get the desired outcome you are seeking. Sometimes you have to make sacrifices. Instead of whining about it realise it’s a gift and gets after it.
The highlight of your career so far?
Working with Kathrin to up-level Manifestation Babe with my VIP shoot package was amazing. I love this woman. She is a mentor, client and dear friend. To see how she has continued to quantum leap her success with a brand that’s aligned with her current level of success is quite fulfilling. I adore my team and love being able to give them the space to share their gifts as well.
What gives you ultimate career satisfaction?
Watching my clients have massive shifts and believe in themselves. Creative directing photo shoots. Seeing a vision take form is my ultimate satisfaction.
What challenges have you seen to have been presented during the growth of your business?
Overwhelm. Hiring people to help me so that my business can grow. Learning how to find the right people. Being upfront with people even when it’s not comfortable. Learning how to get out of my own way and not limit me. Being coachable, my biggest challenge was learning how to believe in myself unconditionally. To realise I am 100% responsible for my success and take ownership.

Manifestation Babe. I’ve watched Kathrin grow from selling $11 courses to having a million dollar business. She is a friend, a mentor, and a client. She is an inspiration on every level.
Cara Rice. She was my first business coach. She is amazing at what she does. I will be forever grateful to her that she helped me give a form for my dream.
Abraham-Hicks. They know the truth about energy. I listened to their YouTube videos every day for a year and finally started to understand how the Law of Attraction works.
Tony Robbins. Ignite Your Soul Brand was born at UPW. It took a while to give it form but the spark was created there.
How would you say you are intending to use your voice to educate others in the branding & marketing industry?
Help people understand that they create their own reality. You are POWERFUL. Don’t be afraid of your power. Harness it. They get to CHOOSE EVERYTHING in their life. It is all a choice. You are 100% responsible for the good, the bad and the ugly. It doesn’t matter what other people are doing. Do what feels good to you and listen to your intuition. Stop being afraid of sales. Everything in life is sales. Everything. And you get one chance at a first impression so make it a good one.
What is a good article or book you have read recently?
The Abundance Book changed my life. You need to buy it and commit to the 40-day prosperity challenge now. I’m on my 9th round and got my husband into it. Make it a priority to actually do the challenge and watch the magic happen.
What does your Podcast playlist look like?
It’s more like audible or courses. I’m currently re-listening to Rich Babe Academy and then I’m going to go through my NLP, Hypnosis, EFT and Success Coaching program all over again. That will keep me plenty busy.
How do you measure your own terms of success?
By how much love I have in my life. The love of my husband. The love of my daughter. The love of my family. The love for myself. The love of my friends. The love of my colleagues and peers. The love of my clients.

Don’t take shit from anyone. Be steadfast in your vision and do whatever it takes, while maintaining integrity.
Lastly, what is next for you?
Several previous clients have expressed an interest in continued support so I will launch the Ignite Your Soul Brand Mastermind in early 2019. More yoga in my life. Better boundaries with my phone. Hiring a sales rep so I can have more time to serve my clients. My friends have been hounding me to create Instagram training. I feel called to teach people my time management system. I want to make a series of hypnosis audios that speak to the main pain points of my clients. Taking my daughter to Europe. Maybe I’ll pick up a camera again.
