Hey Kat, can you introduce yourself to us?
I always wanted to be a tennis player. That never happened although I did use to play a lot as a teenager! Instead, I spent the last 9 years of my career managing huge events and congresses for plastic surgeons and oncologists. And I have dedicated my private life to the research of where true, unconditional affection sprouts and on my imaginary shortcut to mastery I figured the only place to start designing our authentic love stories is self-acceptance and self-love.
Can you take us through your journey to where you are now?
Yesterday. Love wasn’t an easy game to play. Confessions of a Love Guru, I had many adventurous relationships with Europeans and with each of them, I dived into a world of a new mentality which fascinated me. But none of them fulfilled me the way I desired and I always focussed on pleasing them more than on what I truly needed to grow and be fulfilled. Finding the one was no easy ride. When we started dating, he was haunted by his ex’s an oh’s and was not ready to commit and has split with me four times. I came back to hunt him more after every rejection. I wasn’t going to give up. It took him 2 years to realise we are meant to be together, and today we expect a little baby boy and love each other unconditionally. Is our relationship perfect? Well is any perfect? No way. But what determines its longevity is not the number of interests in common, nor the number of times we say the ‘l-word’. It is our adaptability and will to respond to change and overcome difficulties. My story proves that in the game of love, there is no rights and wrongs and the only thing that really matters is surrendering to what you feel is good for you- forget what others tell you. And I became a life coach to pass this message on. I want women to hear that being vulnerable is beautiful and that they should love because they want to grow and not because they need to be worshipped.
What is a day in the life of you like?
I wake up in my partner’s arms around 6am and do my morning rituals- 5 minutes of gratitude prayer before I get out of bed and progressive visualisation connected to where I desire to be. I then have my cup of freshly roasted Italian coffee, focus on my business and usually have one client call before I set off to my full-time coaching job in learning & development.
I love to listen to Spotify in my Smart and this is usually the time when I tune in with my femininity and manifest my vision. My work days are filled with supporting young apprentices reaching their career objectives and mentoring them about their business relationships whilst co-creating their future vision. In the evenings I am very active in creating content, networking, engaging with like-minded people, reading self-development books or doing admin stuff related to coaching. I really like doing yoga, pilates, dancing, watching French films & scientific documentaries; and I love hosting friends and cooking. I also enjoy spending intimate evenings with my beloved and watching Netflix or walking our neighbour’s beautiful dogs.
How are you supporting women in tuning in with their inner femininity to fall in love with themselves?
There is a pattern when it comes to finding love and it is that the successful course of this somewhat mysterious journey is always a direct reflection of our relationship with ourselves. Love is to be found in the stillness of a single moment spent in your own presence by embracing it fully with all senses. I am proud of my ability to see the glimpse of a goddess in every woman. And I will spend the rest of my days showing this beauty to them and bringing them back to themselves, back home, to celebrate it.
Could you give 3 kick-ass tips for women to live for the moment and act fearlessly?
- Trust your instincts. My partner used to laugh at me when I said that every decision in life is like buying a pair of jeans: I already know before trying them on if they are for me or not. Our female radar is a gift from God. Listen to what it is telling you. And do not listen to what others think is best for you. They haven’t got a clue.
- Open your mind. What if it was your last day on this planet. You would open the expensive bottle of red from South Africa, put on your best dress and make love to the man you adore the way he’ll remember for good.
- Be playful. Play with yourself. Live spontaneously. Walk with lightness. Make decisions with ease. And most importantly, be mischievous!
- Bonus one: Hire a love coach!
Can you talk us through what scientist call the ‘Chaos Theory?’
Scientists have a way of describing complex systems in the universe like the path of a storm, the creation of sand on a beach, the growth of wildflowers in a field or the absorption of molecules by our bodies. They call it ‘Chaos Theory’. It’s a theory that explains how one event can have extraordinary consequences: the flap of a butterfly’s wing that starts a hurricane, the wave that moves a message in a bottle across the ocean, the person on the other side of the street who saves a toddler’s life.
We meet a finite number of people in our lifetimes, and who we come into contact with determines the course of our lives. We all want to be a part of something bigger. We all want to belong. We cannot plan how one person might change our lives. And that special soul may be just around the corner. Ultimately the Chaos Theory explains our journey from chaos to love.
Who does the team involve behind your movement?
I have a fantastic, young virtual assistant who helps me with my marketing- and a top manifestation coach without whom I wouldn’t be here today.
Where can you see yourself within the next 3-5 years?
I see myself creating a global network of coaches and mentors who help women discover their love passion zone and attract their perfect partner. Now, really, what would happen to your life if you found that right puzzle piece for you to spend your life with? My work is so rewarding, and I have a deep desire to evolve it. I also picture co-designing with masterminds like Esther Perel, Derren Brown, Magali Peysha or Fred Sirieix.
What strategies do you have in place when looking at the expansion Love Molecules?
I am about to launch my training series ‘9 Rules Of Love’- super excited about this! At the same time, I am growing and nourishing my network daily and I am running a mini love survey research project right now. In line with this, I am conducting regular target group interviews. I would also love to start cooperating with other coaches on impactful stories and podcasts so that’s definitely in the cards.
Can you tell us what areas you have struggled in professionally?
Diving into social media was a huge challenge. I had to learn how to like them and use them to build my network- and to be frank I am still trying to understand on a deeper level what all these followers, hashtags and bots are all about!!
Have you ever had any other mentor? If so how has this benefitted you to grow?
Absolutely, how could you ask people to pay for your coaching if you do not have or never had a coach yourself? I have a wonderful mentor who is an intuitive business strategist and energy activator, and she is very close to my heart. She taught me the secrets of powerful manifestation and led me through this key part of my journey.
How do you create an evenly balanced work and personal life?
The key is to be organised, focused and have a strong will. I am still a bit of a perfectionist and try to be a superwoman in all areas: balancing my full time job, my dear business, clients, my hobbies, being a housewife, the sexy diva, a to-be-mom, being there for my close friends and family and currently I am learning my 8th language; Swedish!
Which methods are you using to build your own support network?
Networking, collaborations, social media engagement platforms, client testimonials and a just the right attitude and faith really. I strongly believe that a true coach is a coach everywhere she goes, not just when she speaks to clients.
What do you believe are the common misconceptions about being an entrepreneur?
There will always be people who appear on our path who we like less or who annoy us. The secret to a successful career is not ignoring them or bringing them down- it is to be seeing the beauty in them as well- or to see the glimpse of genius in them.
What would you like to see changed for millennials in business?
As Simon Sinek rightly said; “Loving your job and being fulfilled by your job should be a right, not a privilege.” There is this ongoing pressure for millennials to make an impact and be recognised. At the same time, there is minimal support for them from peers to help them understand the info and choice overload in today’s mad world. This results, especially in the love/dating zone, in what I like to call blurriness, ghosting, anonymity, social alienation and the inability to communicate effectively face-to-face.
What is the best piece of business advice you have received to date?
When my brilliant coach told me that our clients are normally us but 2-3 steps behind us (so us some time ago overcoming the same obstacles).
What is the number 1 critical lesson you have learned in your career so far?
Everything is possible. Literally everything. If you are not achieving what your heart desires or you are not even on your way to it, this is because you either do not want it enough, you are being impatient and expecting immediate results or you are not attracting it in the right way.
The highlight of your career so far?
The highlight of my career was when I got fired from my last event job and I drove home crying of happiness as I knew that I have been wanting to start my coaching adventure.
As soon as I got home, I found a dying sky-blue jaybird in my garden, I wrapped him in a blanket, drove to the local wet in the effort of rescuing him; and by the time I parked he breathed his last breath and passed away. That was a clear sign for me that my life mission is saving people, saving their relationships, saving their faith and saving their love lives.
What gives you ultimate career satisfaction?
It is bringing others back to themselves and showing them their inner beauty. There are a few special beings who have done the very same thing for me and now this is what is wonderfully fulfilling for me to pass on. I love to see the results of my hard work and be acknowledged by the people I care for most. The acts of unconditional love are selfless and you should not expect to get anything back- but I must confess that if my work makes an impact and I get recognition, it definitely warms my heart.
What challenges have you seen to have been presented during the growth of Love Molecules?
Firstly, what are these molecules? Love Molecules is a space where we inspect the smallest molecule inside you and turn it into unconditional self-love. We then design your love story by fearlessly studying the hidden chapters deep within you. My program will turn your world on its head to enable magic to happen. My clients end up manifesting with every molecule.
Now I would say the main challenge we had was rebranding and refining my coaching business where I was previously positioning myself as a dating coach rather than a love coach. The shift was organic, yet the target group has changed slightly and so new strategies and tools were created to set the wheels in motion. The most challenging bit was juggling my full-time coaching job with growing my business, refurbishing my new home, enjoying my hobbies, dedicating enough time to my partner and all this in the initial months of pregnancy.
Which other leading entrepreneurs and pioneering game changers do you also admire and why?
Tony Robbins is how it all started for me when I watched his documentary on Netflix 2 years ago. There are some people who dislike his voice, his marketing campaigns or intensely transformational approach. I saw one of his live interventions, burst into tears and that was the moment when I decided to become a life coach.
Rich Litvin (author of the book ‘The Prosperous Coach’); I simply love to watch his training videos, the subtle, but the highly effective way in which he coaches and oh he just stands for the epitome of today’s top coach.
Esther Perel who is a phenomenal relationship coach all the way and a huge inspiration for me: Among her insightful podcasts and empowering speeches, she inspects the relationships of people who were cheated and then got back together- and she presents these as examples of some of the strongest love stories out there and derives the elements for long-lasting, strong love. To me, that is simple mastery.
What is a good article or book you have read recently?
’12 Rules For Life’ written by Jordan Peterson.
What does your Podcast playlist look like?
When I drive to work, I would listen to coach interventions, audio coach books or my favourite Spotify playlists. I love music and it is a big part of what I do- I also create tailored playlists for my clients. Since I’ve known my boyfriend, he kindly shared his Spotify log in with me so we have been using the same account for the last 4 years. We would play each other songs when the other one least expected it. I also used Spotify to spy on him as I would always see if he played from his Mac (meant he is at home) or on his phone or unknown device; I also knew if he is by himself or what he is up to by the style of music he played. I know- freaky!
How do you measure your own terms of success?
Definitely not by likes or followers. To be frank I am super tough on myself and always have enormous expectations but to me success is a warm, humble feeling of satisfaction inside, knowing that today I made an impactful change to someone’s world and that one day when I pass I will be remembered for just this. Hey, how much value does it have for someone to be finally sharing their bed with their perfect match for the rest of their life?
What does #BEYOUROWN mean to you?
Be authentic. Be yourself. Breakthrough. Come back to the inner child in you. Start loving yourself. Treat yourself with kindness. Get comfortable being vulnerable. Thank you for the opportunity to be part of your story.
Lastly, what is next for Love Molecules?
I plan to film a documentary feeding off my research project, investigating and portraying how women in different parts of the world experience and search for love and documenting their intimate love stories.
