Lauri-Ann Ainsworth is an energy alignment & success coach for female coaches here to help coaches, healers and wellness professionals, just like you, to clear energetic blocks that are keeping you stuck, then guide you towards a place of fulfillment, freedom, and flow to do your soul work. Using a combination of energy work, the law of attraction techniques, life coaching, and business strategy tactics, Lauri-Ann aims to help you co-create your best life and business- getting you from where you are now to where you want to be.

Hey  Lauri-Ann, can you introduce yourself to us?

I’m an energy alignment & success coach for female coaches, healers, and wellness experts who feel stuck in their life and business. I  help my clients remove energetic blocks that are holding them back from manifesting their best life and stopping them from taking aligned action to build a successful business. My approach is a combination of energy work, the law of attraction techniques, life coaching and business strategy. I blend spirituality and aligned strategy together in one beautiful package. I’m a mom of two to Savannah (5) and Sebastian (3) and my fur-baby Prada (12)

Can you take us through your journey to where you are now?

I used to be filled with worry, anxiety, stress, and exhaustion. Slow just wasn’t a word in my vocabulary. I was always chasing my tail working a full-time job, multiple projects and starting my own business while trying to be a present mom and wife. Needless to say, I was anything but the present.

Doing things that I loved or taking time to care for myself was a once in a blue moon activity. The negative energy of my lifestyle started to take its toll on me. I wasn’t spending time with my family, the work I was doing wasn’t in alignment with me and I felt unfulfilled, I wasn’t sleeping and the exhaustion was overwhelming.

That’s when it happened. I heard a gentle voice in my head say, stop. And that’s exactly what I did. I stopped everything. Immediately, I had pressed the pause button on all the projects I was working on. I started reading about energy work and the Divine Feminine. I was hooked!

I started working with mentors and coaches and for the first time EVER,  I was doing very little, compared to my schedule before, and it felt so healing to me. It was what I needed. Reiki was the next step in my journey (a Japanese healing modality that uses life force energy to balance the mind and body) and I developed a daily practice. I loved it so much that I continued my studies and became a Reiki Master. Later I became a certified life coach and women’s circle facilitator.

Life started to feel more aligned and inflow. I started incorporating self-care activities, mindfulness, sacred ceremony and ritual into my life. I started manifesting things and situations that I had always hoped for but felt were out of reach. Like traveling to exotic places, doing work that I felt good about and building my dream home in the perfect location. I’m now an energy alignment and business success coach helping others to get aligned energetically so that they can create an amazing life and business.

What is a day in the life of you like?

I have two children 3 and 5 (read no time for myself) so getting up early to start the day with my morning ritual is so important for me to get my energy right for the rest of the day. That always starts with tuning into myself with a quiet meditation. Then I move on to cleanse my 7 chakras with my chakra clearing meditation.

I don’t stick to anything too rigid, we are human beings and life happens. Some days I sleep in later, especially if I’ve I’m super exhausted. I think it’s important to give yourself grace and understanding. That’s why I call it a ritual rather than routine. Routines sound too obligatory. If I don’t cleanse my chakras in the morning I find a few quiet moments throughout the day to do my practice.

A typical day sees me flowing between moving my children from school, extracurricular activities to home, work, coaching calls and creating programmes for my clients. It’s a very busy schedule and that’s why it’s so important for me to give myself time to reconnect with myself, gather my energy and keep centred.

At night, I usually enjoy a good glass of red wine with my husband while we share the happenings of our day. Without fail, we always ask each other ‘how was your day?” This is something that allows us to check in with each other and reconnect.

What was the concept behind launching your business as an energy alignment & business success coach?

My career for the last 15 years has been in digital marketing, business development, and entrepreneurship. When I started on the path of energy healing and life coaching (which was a strong calling) I questioned whether or not I had wasted those years in business and strategy. I was so convinced that I had left that world behind me that I started throwing away all of the business-related courses and programmes that I had created.

After working with my own energy and manifesting through the chakras I recognized a relationship between working with energy and attaining your desires and living your best life.

Then when I became a life coach and realized that many of my fellow healers and coaches had gifts that they needed share with the world but didn’t know how to do it, I knew instantly that it was my job to facilitate them. Conscious entrepreneurs need support in a different way – a way that feels good and aligns with their higher purpose. Too often, spiritual entrepreneurs, go in either of two directs 1) too much in their upper chakras where they meditate and hope their clients will come and take no action or 2) those that get drawn in my the sleazy marketing and business practices that they lose their way and forget what they were meant to be doing. Either way, they aren’t sharing their gifts and doing the work they were sent here to do. I knew that I could bridge that gap by offering a heart-centred and conscious way of building a business that first starts with your energy to ensure that you are aligned mind, body, and soul and then layering on top of that some amazing business strategy that will allow them to get their gifts out of their heads and into the world.

Can you tell us more about your brand DNA and ethos?

My brand is authentically me. I am a modern lightworker who likes to wear sleek stylish clothes with crystals in my bra and mala beads around my neck. I don’t want to conform to what people think a “spiritual entrepreneur” should be like. Some days I like to wear kaftans and others I like to rock a classy pencil skirt and stilettos. This sentiment is a reflection of my brand ethos. Conscious living in this modern world.

Can you tell us how you are on a mission to help female coaches, healers, and wellness experts become energetically aligned to manifest their best life and business?

My mission is to help other light works like female coaches, healers and wellness experts get their gifts out into the world so that we can all raise the vibration of this planet. I believe that we are at a turning point where we need to uplift each other and focus on collaboration instead of competition. We are all here to share our special gifts and fulfil our lives purposes and I am here to facilitate those women doing their lightwork to get their message to the people that they are meant to serve. I am helping and doing my part by focusing on these healers, coaches and wellness practitioners who are helping people to heal and make transformations in their lives. I do this through my programmes which include 1:1 and group coaching and self-study courses. All of these programmes support these women to align their energy through their chakras and then take strategic and aligned action to build their service based business.

Can you talk us through the chakra mini-course, which is designed to introduce us to the 7 major chakras and equip us with techniques to clear and activate our energy system?

I created the chakra mini-course to introduce people to their 7 major energy centres – the chakras. This is a free email course that is sent directly to your inbox over 3 days and it explains how energy works in our lives and how we are affected by it. The course then gives the foundational details to understand where each chakra is located on the body, how to recognized imbalances and practical tips to cleanse and activate those chakras. Getting this foundation is the first step to working with your chakras in a more advanced way through my other programmes.

Can you highlight 3 tips to improve our clarity and business vision?

If you want to gain clarity on your business vision, you have to start to tune into yourself and understand what’s they why behind your vision. What’s your purpose here? What big problem or issue do you want to tackle?

If you are coming from a place of consciousness and want to create a vision for a heart-centered business, it never starts with the money. I believe that spiritual and conscious entrepreneurs should enjoy this material world and all that they desire but that’s not the starting point. The money and abundance are as a result of doing work that’s aligned with your purpose.

  1. Really think about what issue bothers you and you would like to see solved?
  2. Work with your crown chakra to get clarity on your purpose. This is where you get divine guidance and understand the why behind what you are trying to accomplish with your business.
  3. Once you understand your purpose, work with your third eye chakra to turn that divine guidance into a vision for how you can accomplish that purpose. That vision involves understanding who you are going to serve and how you are going to serve them.

Who does the team involve behind you?

Having people around you to support your mission is important. No man or woman is an island. For the most part, I do all my tech, graphics and programmes. I’ve been able to create systems that allow me to work this way. I do have an incredible support system, mentors and coaches. My husband is my biggest supporter. He believes in my work and supports me 1000%. Because I work with clients all over the world, time zones can get tricky. In those moments he is a critical member of my team, taking the kids to the park or putting them to bed so that I can do my work.

Where can you see yourself within the next 3-5 years?

I see myself teaching other coaches my methodology so that they can teach other lightworkers what I’m doing. I see myself publishing books and programmes that will make it easier for these modern lightworkers to access my services and ultimately get their work out in the world. I see myself hosting retreats that bring lightworkers together.

What strategies do you have in place when looking at the expansion of your business?

My strategy is to take it one step at a time. I have a tendency to want to do too much too quickly and get overwhelmed. I am however a planner and I do plan to role things out in phases while trusting my intuition to guide me.

Can you tell us what areas you have struggled in professionally?

In the past, I struggled with visibility and getting myself out in front of my clients. Not because I don’t know how to but because I didn’t have the confidence to believe that I could or should be doing what I am doing now. Those are just limiting beliefs and imbalanced energy that I work on every day. Now I tell everyone I meet what I do. When I started working with my chakras and energy I realized how much I was holding myself back and doing a disservice to the people who are waiting for me to show up for them.

Have you ever had any other mentor? If so how has this benefitted you to grow?

Yes, I have had mentors. Some in a formal way and others by emulating what they do. It’s important to learn from others and have a beginners mindset when you want to be good in your area. There is always something that someone can teach you. I’ve learnt to be humble and listen a lot. When we are still, observe and listen is when we get those golden nuggets. I already know what I know. I want to know what other people know and have experienced.

Mentors have benefitted me by shortening my path to where I want to be. They have experience that came from making mistakes, testing and trying new things. I don’t have to make those mistakes by taking the time to implement what they have taught me. During my Beautiful You Coaching Academy Course (Where I became a life coach) I took a beginners mindset to heart. I am a marketing professional but when they were giving advice to brand, market and grow your life to coach business, I didn’t allow my ego to take centre stage. Instead, I listened to every coaching call, read every piece of material to gain something new.

What outlets do use to market your services?

I use social media, guest blogging and my Free Facebook community Aligned & Abundant Society. I also get referrals from other clients.

Which methods are you using to build your own support network?

I believe in supporting others who are doing great work and so I am actively seeking collaborations and building relationships with others. That happens by being authentic and speaking to people. In this modern world of technology that allows us to reach the entire world also isolates us behind our phone or computer screen. So the need to have real conversations with people is critical to building authentic relationships that lead to a support network. So I get on video calls and try to speak to people as much as possible.

What do you believe are the common misconceptions about energy alignment and how are you using your platform and voice to educate people more?

I think the biggest misconception is that energy alignment is, for lack of a better word “woo-woo” and in that context I mean, weird and not taken seriously. Energy alignment is not only a spiritual practice it is scientific too. I am a Reiki Master and I work with energy on a daily basis. I am also a university educated woman who has held many corporate and executive roles. I think society has traditionally separated those two realities but that thinking has changed significantly in the last few years. I want to use my platform to show that energy work, the chakras, and divination tools (like crystals, cards and sage) are just as normal in business practice as sales funnels, discovery calls and lead magnets. I want modern women to know that they can integrate spirituality with the strategy to build a successful life and business.

What would you like to see changed for millennials in business?

I would like to see more millennials being mindful and conscious in their business.

What is the best piece of business advice you have received to date?

There has to be an exchange. This was very important for me to understand not just as a business person but as a woman and a spiritual entrepreneur. It is hard for some women when it comes to asking for the sale and charging what they are worth. I can remember talking to a coach who called me out on my bullshit and said that I didn’t value my gifts. I remember she asked me why I felt that I deserved to be paid for a corporate job, that in reality included me sending a bunch of emails all day, was justified vs me being paid for an energy alignment or coaching session to help transform someone’s life. There must be an exchange of energy. Money is the currency of this world and I need that resource to keep doing the work I am doing.

What is the number 1 critical lesson you have learned in your career so far?

Be authentically me. I’ve tried to be who I thought others wanted and it either never worked for me or I felt bad. I speak my truth unapologetically as long as it is for the greatest good. Never to hurt anyone and always from a place of love.

How do you create an evenly balanced work and personal life?

I give myself grace. That’s important. Sometimes I get in a zone and the work is pouring out of me and I don’t want to stop but my children are calling for me to spend time with them. I have to consciously make a decision to live in the moment, tear myself away and stop thinking about the work to enjoy my family. The reverse is also true, sometimes I love being with my family, reading a book or doing something else when I know work is piling up and in those moments I have to recognize that what I may be doing is procrastinating. This is why I love working with the chakras because when I see an imbalance is a particular area of my life I work with that chakra to get it back in balance. This is life. We have to ebb and flow. The balance is really how we react to the highs and lows. I try to move through them with grace, love, and ease as much as I can.

A seminal point in your career so far?

Every time I speak with another client that has had a breakthrough, an aha moment that moved them to even a small transformation is a seminal point. Living in the present is my mantra.

What gives you ultimate career satisfaction?

Seeing people transform and make steps toward their goals is so satisfying to me because it gives me fuel, confidence, and validity that the work I am doing is important.

What challenges have you seen to have been presented during the growth of your career?

Initially, the big challenge for me was being ok with people in my circles not being ok with the work that I am doing. Some people don’t understand energy work and all the comes with it and at first, I was afraid to show the world who I am and that hindered my growth. Now I am totally ok with who I am and what I do and owning it and being proud of it is showing in my growth so much.

Which other leading entrepreneurs and pioneering game changers do you also admire and why?

I admire Julie Suzanne Parker as a spiritual entrepreneur who is running her business from such a heart-centred place. She is the person who founded and runs the Beautiful You Life Coaching Academy. I learned about the programme from listening to her podcast and I knew that her way of doing business was something I wanted to be a part of. She is a successful entrepreneur who has a podcast and multiple programmes that are helping women to do amazing work in this world.

What is a good article or book you have read recently?

I love ‘Tanishka’s Goddess Wisdom.’ It is so full of sacred knowledge that can’t be consumed in one go. I’m on my second read of it because it is just so juicy.

Top 3 go-to Podcast channels?

  1. ‘Priested Podcast’ with Julie Parker.
  2. ‘Style Your Mind.’
  3. ‘The Modern CEO.’

How do you define success?

Success is my view is living a life that makes you feel fulfilled and happy.

What does #BEYOUROWN mean to you?

Be your own means being unapologetically you.

Finally, What can we expect from you?

You can expect lots of content, programmes, and events that will help more people to work with the energies of their chakras. My signature programme is called Chakra Business Alignment. During this 3 month programme, we work on each of your chakras to align your energy for success while also taking aligned action to get your business out of your head and into this world. My programme has zero fluff. I explain the science behind how energy works and I bring together the pieces of the law of attraction, manifesting and real business strategy together to help you build a business that feels good and makes sense.
I believe it’s important for me and my clients to be a good match, so I always start with an assessment and consultation before working together. These assessments can be booked here.
