Kylie Berman has a huge passion for baking whilst living a healthy lifestyle. Since plowing into the depths of veganism a little over 3 years ago, she decided to create a platform dedicated to sharing her love for baking.
Can you take us through your journey to where you are now?
My journey to where I am now started when I would constantly come across other food bloggers Instagrams/blogs and thought what they were doing was so interesting and cool so I decided I wanted to try for myself. I started just posting pictures of food that I was eating but shortly started creating my own recipes which is what I post now.
How much research did you do on the market prior to getting started and what were your findings?
I did not do much research on the market before starting because at first, I was not doing it to make any sort of money I just wanted to share some of my recipes and food ideas for others wanting to go vegan.
Did you undertake any courses, workshops or study anywhere? If so, what did you take away from the experience?
I did not take any workshops or courses that focused on being a food blogger, however, I have taken many cooking classes throughout my years of school.
How are you using your platform to inspire us?
I am using my platform to inspire people by showing that it can be easy to live a healthy lifestyle and it can also be very enjoyable if you are doing it the proper way.
Where can you see yourself within the next 3-5 years?
In the next 3-5 years, I hope to have grown my account by a lot and possibly create my own product.
What are the key tools that you use for your trade?
Key tools that I use for my trade include tons of baking equipment and ingredients as well as having a good photo background by using many different props.
What outlets do use for self-promotion of you and your business?
I do not use many outlets for self-promotion I just try and stay consistent in posting and interact with my followers in order to grow.
What or who inspires and motives you?
My dad inspires and motivates me the most because he has a very good work ethic and started his own business when he was younger and that is what I am aiming for.
What is the number 1 critical business lesson you have learned so far?
The number 1 critical business lesson I have learned so far is in order to grow your account and increase your publicity you have to be consistent in posting and try and be as unique in your recipes as possible.
A highlight in your career so far?
A highlight in my career would be just seeing my followers recreating my recipes and enjoying them because I put a lot of work into creating them and seeing others enjoy them is very rewarding.
What gives you ultimate career satisfaction?
The thing that gives my ultimate career satisfaction is knowing I am doing something good in the world by sharing how to live healthily but also enjoyable.
What challenges have you seen to have been presented during the growth of your business?
The challenges I have seen so far have been trying to stay as creative as possible when creating recipes.
Which other leading entrepreneurs and pioneering game changers do you also admire and why?
I admire many other food bloggers who have created a business for themselves because I think it’s an awesome opportunity to do what you love but also be able to make money from it.

A good book I have read recently is ‘Becoming’ by Michele Obama
How do you define your own success?
I define my own success by understanding how hard I work and how much effort I put into trying to make my account and recipes be the best they can be.
