Balance your health + boost your vibration. Nani Chesire is a passionate, heart driven soul entrepreneur who looks for ways to help others using Human Design and essential oils. She is a Certified Human Design Practitioner, Essential Oil Educator, MBA, Mom and co-author of ‘Human Design’ guidebooks and content.
Human Design is the most incredible life navigation and personality tool that Nani has ever used. Before discovering Human Design she had done many different self-help trainings, books, workshops and more. She had no idea how much insight could come from one simple set of information – your Human Design chart.
She also loves sharing the power of essential oils because they can transform your mood in an instant, elevate the health of your home and body. Not only does she use them to support the health and wellness of her family, but she also uses them in her work with Human Design. She is particularly in love with doTERRA essential oils, but she shares in a way that you can use whatever essential oils work best for you.
Nani sees the world through the lens of beauty. As the world today is sharing information in an overwhelmingly visual way, she too uses visual mediums to educate others –this way the information shared becomes easily digestible and visually captivating.
Hey Nani, can you introduce yourself to us?
I’m Nani, a Mom, human design practitioner, Essential Oil Educator, MBA and co-author. I combine my knowledge of Human Design and essential oils to help people balance their health, boost their vibration and feel better.
In my life I have struggled with running in too many directions and pushing against so many things but while experimenting with my Human Design and using essential oils, I am learning to navigate my life more easily. My mission is to be my authentic self to show my kids and my clients that it’s not only okay to be yourself, but that you will thrive in your life when you accept yourself and others.
Can you take us through your journey to where you are now as the founder of BeYou?
Ever since I was a little girl I have loved business. After getting my MBA, I entered the corporate world where I learned a ton about marketing, sales and finance. I held a lot of responsibility and was given what I considered my “dream role.” But, I had this inner knowing that it was not my soul purpose, at least not in that way.
Having my first child finally propelled me into making a change. I needed time to be with my family and I wanted flexibility. The systems of the corporate world did not support my desires. I decided to try things out on my own. I now have what I call a “portfolio career” where I do a few different things; working in the corporate world part of the time, but on my terms, which allows me to have time and energy to explore other endeavors.
Balancing kids, my career, health, energy and emotions was still challenging. And then essential oils came into my life. They are like little magical helpers at my fingertips. The oils really empowered me to take control of all of my well-being. They helped me so much that I couldn’t help but share them and became an Essential Oil Educator.
I loved having a business with essential oils where I helped people feel better, but the model taught for network marketing felt confining. I was expected to do things a certain way, the way they have always been done. I tried to copy the model and it did not work the way I had hoped. While struggling to expand my essential oil business the way I believed was possible, I was introduced to Human Design.
Human Design combines Astrology, the Chakra system, the I-Ching, the Kabbalah, and Quantum Physics to form a chart about when your soul entered this life. Your Human Design Chart is a living experiment that is action oriented and has practical applications about how to exchange energy with the world in order to bring more flow, ease and acceptance into your life. Most importantly, Human Design affirms your authentic self by reminding you of your uniqueness.
Exploring Human Design taught me that not everyone operates the same and there was a reason why a method that works for someone else won’t necessarily work for me. I realised there were things I was doing that were “should” and not things that I actually desired. With this awareness I was able to shift how I operated in business and transformed how I worked with the people building the business with me in a way that respects who they are.
I think there is discomfort with growth as you expand who you are and overcome your fears. I don’t believe every discomfort comes from fear; some of it is because you are living with a mask on and behaving in a way that you have been conditioned to, but it feels yucky because it’s not actually true to you.
I am here to show you that self-love is the answer. I am here to teach you how to use essential oils to hold the pulse for healing and change. I am here to be an example of how to love yourself (flaws and all) in hopes that others will see that it’s okay for them to do the same.
What was the start-up process for you like and how did you successfully launch BeYou?
I started my business by myself and have been adding new things gradually. I first learned about doTERRA essential oils and they changed my life so much that I started sharing them and the first part of BeYou emerged. When I learned about Human Design it instantly started helping me with my essential oil business and my family. I also began to see connections where essential oils could help Human Design because both tools help me navigate life with more ease. This is what my soul wanted to share with the world: release of pain, more ease and acceptance of yourself as well as acceptance of others. Being a Mom and owning a business is a balancing act every day, and what I offer supports both.
There are so many facets of Human Design, but something I learned about myself as a Human Design Generator is to follow what lights me up and that I am a person who needs “people”. When I do things in partnership I have more energy and what I share multiplies. I currently have two significant partnerships and I know more will emerge in the future.
I connected with artist/Human Design Reader, Emily Vino, and we created visual guidebooks through our collaborative venture Human Design PDX. We will continue to grow our product and service offerings to grow Human Design awareness in the world.
I also partner with another Human Design Practitioner and essential oil lover, Ros Isbel, to offer a free podcast called Essential Oils by Design. We share about how Human Design and Essential oils work beautifully together through various topics such as fear, communication, parenting, business, and many other ways Human Design is connected to our lives.
Can you tell us about the brand behind BeYou?
It is my mission to connect my clients to what they need. I am learning to shed the things that no longer serve me through both Human Design and emotional and vibrational healing with essential oils. I can’t keep all that I have learned to myself. I want to share what I know and connect others to the tools and support they need so that they too can experience the benefits. It can be very difficult to know how our minds and bodies are supposed to feel because we are so overloaded with overwhelm and pressure. I want to ignite people to get unstuck and get back in tune with to their true self. I believe self-love and acceptance is the solution to a lot of the pain we hold.
I am not perfect by society standards, but I love who I am. I offer possible answers but because we are all completely unique, I do not claim that my way is the best way, or that I know what is best for others. But I am here to share what has enhanced my life and business in hopes that it will help others.
What 3 tips would you give to someone looking to find balance in their lives
- Do what feels right for you. If you are doing something as a “should” for whatever the reason, you will not enjoy it and it will drain you. Follow what lights you up or makes you happy and don’t worry what everyone else is doing. Give yourself permission to do things in a way that is right for you. I invite you to explore your Human Design Type and see if it resonates for you.
- Let go and become who you truly are. Let go of the thinking patterns you have collected over your life that are not truly yours. Let go of things in your home that don’t reflect who you are – I love the process in Marie Kondo’s book ‘The Life Changing Magic of Tidying Up.’ Removing toxins your home, body and emotions can also be very beneficial; this is where essential oils can really help with the process. You may even have to let go of friends who don’t serve your highest good. You let go of things that vibrate at a low frequency.
- Boost your vibration. To me well-being is really personal and it differs for everyone. What makes you happy? What do you find fun & delicious? Incorporate these into your life daily, even if it’s just one thing per day. If you are really stuck and need a quick shift, essential oils vibrate at a high frequency. You can use them for an immediate boost or to dissolve negative emotions in the moment so you can just move on with your day.
What methods are you using to help your clients re-connect with their true essence?
I help people re-connect to their true essence by:
- Bringing awareness to how someone’s energy works. Giving people a way to learn to accept who they are by learning about their Human Design Type. There is a lot of information available about Human Design, but my mission is to offer it in a practical, digestible and visually beautiful way.
- Connecting people to their clarity. In particular I like working with Human Design Generators, not because I don’t love every Type, but because I know how it works and I have a simple tool to help them get to their truth which are called Sacral Sessions.
- Teaching people how to harness the power of essential oils so they can transform their mood in an instant and elevate the health of their home and body.
Where can you see yourself within the next 5 years and what plans do you have in place to expand and further develop the growth of BeYou?
I integrate what I learn both by teaching others and visually translate the information. I plan to expand by teaching people what they want to learn and by connecting them to the right tools or resources. My desire is to continue to publish guidebooks and podcasts as well as expanding into books, tools and programs that help people connect to their true essence and that creates a community of support.

What challenges have you seen to have been presented during the growth of BeYou?
I entered into the beginning stages of my business in a state of burnout from doing things that did not light me up. I am with experimenting Human Design by waiting to respond to things that are right for me; this is challenging because not everyone agrees with this approach. But I can see that it’s correct for me because, slowly, my vitality has come back.
Working alone was a challenge. I found that doing things in partnership has grown my business tremendously as well as expanded awareness of what I want to share in a way that I could not do on my own.
Lastly, figuring what to prioritise has been a personal challenge. Human Design is still such a new concept and there is so much information to be shared. As BeYou grows, creates new tools and content while educating people about the basics of Human Design, it’s difficult to know what to focus on when.
How do you define your own success?
To me, success is impacting as many people as possible. I don’t feel satisfied unless I give my clients something of value to them. Success is also living authentically and setting that example for my kids. It’s when I live true to myself that I feel empowered and am more loving and accepting. I want my kids to grow up knowing that living authentically is attainable and that it will benefit them and others.
What does #BEYOUROWN mean to you?
It means that there are others out there who celebrate you for who you are. It’s about being resilient and happy in your own skin and about the power that comes from owning who you are.
Finally, what are you working on throughout 2019?
I am honing in on the products that my clients need that also spark my joy. I am working with my business partner, Emily Vino, to bring more valuable tools to help people self-discover – especially ways to navigate the challenging times or pain that life can brings us all.
