Iori Digital CEO Margiorri Salas is a marketing maven of creativity, who believes that great marketing comes from the pure focus of customer experiences. Named one of Jerseys best in Matkeirng and Communications 2019 by the NJ Ad Club, we sit down with Margiorri to talk about her own marketing powerhouse inspiration and how her creative expertise helped shaped her career.
Thank you for joining us Marggiori can you tell us a little bit about your background story as the founder of the marketing and advertising agency Iori Digital?
Since I was a little girl I had the desire to be my own boss and have my own business. Fast forward to present years, I have gone into multiple business ventures where I have succeeded and I have also failed. IORI Digital it’s different because I use all my sales and marketing experience and all my past business experiences to be able to become a success. What drives me to be an entrepreneur is my desire to help others and grow with others. Having my business has allowed me to be able to help other businesses and help grow and develop new talent.
Where did your passion for marketing and creative expertise ignite from?
My passion ignites from the vision and goals to achieve with my clients, my agency team, myself. The joy comes from an idea and the process of the journey to make it a reality, it’s just amazing. We are committed to our clients future and their business success. I take it very personally, to be able to help a business to thrive, to be their best they can be. Best of all, we take action with visionaries and entrepreneurs to achieve their business goals. Our client’s success is our success.
What methods do you use to measure the results of the clients you work with at Iori Digital?
Key performance indicators, data, milestones. Every client has their own metrics on how we measure the results of our work and their success.
Who are the team behind Iori Digital and the company structure?
We are a team of creative artists. From graphics designers to photographers we have common values and set goals to achieve for all our clients. We are a Team-based agency. Where we emphasize the value and importance of all employees regardless of their specific roles or the simplicity and complexity of the tasks that they perform.
Do you have any current business mentors?
Yes, I do. Many business owners try to get that information from business books and classes. While these can be helpful on their own, they are more helpful with a business mentor. Without them, I would have never come close to where I stand today.
Do you currently use any apps or tools to help the functionality of Iori Digital?
We couldn’t live without our essential apps. Between work, networking events, activities, appointments, and ever-growing to-do lists, many of us could never get anything done. Thankfully, we use Quickbooks, Square, Slack, AZLO, and Cash app. They have to turn our phones into a serious timesaver machine.
Who is the most inspirational marketing maven that you admire and why?
Gary Vaynerchuk, the hustle.
I started following Gary in the middle of 2015. At the time, I was dissolving my last business. His books spoke to me, I took him as a “digital mentor” because all his advise and the constant motivation kept me going.
If you could tell your 18-year old self a solid piece of advice, what would it be?
Enjoy the process. At an early age in my life, I would get frustrated very easily. This resulted in getting distracted by my focus. Enjoy the good as well as the bad.
What does #BEYOUROWN mean to you?
Being authentic and true to myself. Every day I learn something new, something exciting, something challenging. As a result, “I am” being my own competition to be better than I was yesterday. It means to stay true to my goals, while going after them.
What does 2020 look like for you and how are you looking to expand Iori Digital?
2020 is a very exciting year for me as new opportunities come up as a speaker and industry leader. For IORI Digital is all about expansion, growth, exposure and profitability. I know 2020 is the year that pivots and changes everything for my business.
