BEYOUROWN Meets Lisa Batitto
Lisa Batitto, is a Reiki Master, soul coach, and intuitive guide. As the owner of Enlightened Path Healing, Lisa helps people heal past trauma and remove roadblocks in the present so they can create a beautiful future.
Can you take us through your journey to where you are now?
My background is in public relations and social media management, and I’ve worked primarily for non-profits and arts organizations. Like many people, I was laid off in the early days of the COVID-19 pandemic. I have always been drawn to spiritual work, so I took advantage of lockdown and started my journey to become a Reiki master. In June 2020, my business opened its doors.
Since starting, have you made any changes to your business model?
I narrowed down my niche. In the beginning, I was doing a little bit of everything, but now I’m focused on helping people on their healing journeys.
Have you ever had a mentor? If so how has this benefitted you either personally or professionally?
I’ve never had a proper mentor per se, but I’ve had many, many teachers. Mostly I’ve learned from watching other people run their businesses and seeing how they connect with others.
What outlets do use for marketing?
Which methods are you using to build your own support network?
I have met quite a few people from different classes. And if I like someone’s work, I’ll drop them a message and ask if they want to collaborate on something.
What is the best piece of business advice you have received to date?
Don’t put your anxiety into your business. You have to let it unfold at its own pace, and if you try to rush things along because you need it to bring in income, you will make the wrong decisions. It’s better to have another job on the side and let it support you.
How do you create an evenly balanced work and personal life?
You don’t have typical hours when you are a healer, but that doesn’t mean you must be on call 24-7. My free time is scheduled, just like my office time.
Name a seminal point in your career so far?
It would have to be when Enlightened Path Healing was selected Best Wellness Business in my town. It meant so much to know that my community supports my business.
What gives you ultimate career satisfaction?
When a client tells me I made a difference for them. If they refer me to someone else, even better.
Are there any leading entrepreneurs or SME leaders that you admire, and if so, why?
Reshma Saujan. I love the mission of Girls Who Code and how she is helping to close the gender gap in technology. It’s so inspiring when entrepreneurs use their platforms to change the world.
How do you define your own success?
Doing what I love and doing it well.
Finally, what can we expect from you this year?
I have an eight-week program that helps people dig deep into old pain and trauma. I’m very excited to help people progress on their spiritual paths.
