ADHD ….. Now What? How ADHD Coaching Can Help You Take Back Your Power

Why this book matters:

  • ADHD diagnoses, particularly in adults, have soared over the past few years – with recent NHS figures estimating that 5% of the UK may have ADHD – leaving millions unsure of how to navigate life post-diagnosis.
  • Alongside medication and talking therapies, tailored ADHD coaching is emerging as a vital complementary support system for late-diagnosed ADHDers looking to make sense of the condition and thrive in life and work.
  • Written by ICF-accredited coaches Katie Friedman and Alex Campbell, ADHD … Now What? draws on the authors’ experience as ADHD coaches and trainers to explore the emerging field of ADHD coaching – empowering ADHDers to embrace their strengths, reframe challenges, and find truly supportive solutions.

Living with ADHD in a society tailored for neurotypical minds – as is the case for as much as 5% of the UK population – contains both hidden potential and a number of challenges. And, while evidence-based medical treatments such as medication and therapeutic approaches play a critical role in managing it, there is also a growing awareness of, and need for, tailored coaching to support those with ADHD in reaching their full potential.

ADHD … Now What? authored by ADHD Coaches Katie Friedman and Alex Campbell, highlights the incredible potential of ADHD coaching to transform the lives of those living with ADHD. The book offers insights into how ADHDers can lean into their incredible strengths, while cultivating a deeper understanding of the nuances of ADHD and the unique situational daily realities faced by ADHDers everywhere.

Critically, the book also shines a much-needed light on the intersectionality of ADHD, examining how gender, race, age, socio-economic status and disability shapes and amplifies how we might experience ADHD, as well as potential discrimination related to the condition, to present a truly holistic picture of ADHD and the nuanced ways in which it can impact our lives.

Throughout ADHD … Now What?, readers will gain vital insights into what ADHD actually is, the many ways in which it can present itself at work and in everyday life, and the incredible power of tailored ADHD coaching to support those with ADHD. This comprehensive guide arms readers with the much-needed insight to find a coach that is right for their unique needs, understand how to advocate for these needs, and gives readers the tools to start living life on purpose.
