Candice Jane’s path to becoming a leading trauma-informed coach began with a personal battle against self-sabotage in her own business. This struggle propelled her on a quest to understand the root causes of self-limiting behaviours, leading her to discover the link to unresolved trauma and inner child wounds. This newfound knowledge ignited a passion within her to help others overcome similar obstacles.

Through her research, Candice discovered Silent Counselling, a method that empowers individuals to pinpoint the source of self-sabotage and release the energetic blockages where trauma often resides. Witnessing the transformative power of Silent Counselling, Candice dedicated herself to sharing this knowledge, training hundreds of coaches and therapists in the method.

Fuelled by a desire to create an even more comprehensive approach, Candice developed the CjMindCleanseMethod®. This method equips practitioners to guide clients through a profound healing journey, addressing the root causes of trauma and facilitating lasting personal growth. The CjMindCleanseMethod® has empowered a global network of practitioners to tackle the challenges of unresolved trauma.

Candice’s expertise extends beyond trauma healing. As a qualified corporate and executive coach, she empowers individuals and teams within professional settings to achieve peak performance and fulfilment. But her vision for positive change reaches beyond traditional systems.

Driven by a deep commitment to global healing, Candice is on a mission to train others in her methods, specifically targeting incarcerated individuals and those facing significant challenges. What do you specialize in as a coach?

I am Candice Jane, proud to be a multiple award-winning holistic healing & business coach.  I am passionate about helping others access their habitual power to heal themselves through simple and accessible methods. It’s important to me that individuals are able to take control of their lives and understand their journey and bring them out of helplessness into happiness.

Could you provide a brief overview of your career journey and the key milestones that have led you to your current leadership role?

My career journey began in education and family support, where I honed my skills in empowering individuals and communities. A passion for personal growth led me to become a life coach and Silent Counselling. My career journey began in education and family support, where I honed my skills in empowering individuals and communities. A passion for personal growth led me to become a corporate & executive coach life coach and Silent Counselling expert, eventually developing the CjMindCleanseMethod to help others overcome self-sabotage. Throughout, I’ve championed leadership development programmes culminating in training hundreds internationally during the pandemic.

In your opinion, what are the most critical qualities or attributes that a successful business leader should possess, and how do you embody them in your leadership style?

  1. Integrity.  I think it’s important to do the right thing as a business owner.  I’ve made many errors in my time but always endeavour to ensure that my clients never suffer due to my errors. 
  2. Resilience: The road to entrepreneurial success is paved with challenges and setbacks. Resilient business owners have the grit and determination to bounce back from difficulties, learn from mistakes, and keep moving forward.
  3. Vision & Passion: A clear vision of where you want your business to go and a deep passion for what you do is a powerful combination. This passion will fuel your motivation and guide your decision-making and help ride the storms
  4. Adaptability & Resourcefulness: As markets and customer needs can change quickly. I think its important to be able to adapt and be prepared to change your strategies as a business owner but never lose sight of your vision and purpose. 
  5. Leadership & Communication: As a business owner, you’ll inspire and motivate your team. Strong leadership and communication skills are essential for building a cohesive and productive work environment.
  6. Customer Focus: Never lose sight of who your customers are and what they need. Prioritising e excellent customer service and strive to consistently exceed their expectations.

Describe a significant challenge or setback you’ve faced in your career and how you overcame it to achieve your goals.

I spent a long time creating my own method, spent a lot of money and time rebranding my business, licensing my method, creating a social media and marketing strategy and never managed to get a ROI.  I learned 2 major things during this process.

  1. Not to put other people in the position of being the expert in something that I have created
  2. Recognising the power of low self-worth thus creating self-sabotaging behaviours

I overcame this by stripping back my team, coming off social media, simplifying everything and surrendering.   I am just getting ready to come back to my business with much more clarity and confidence.

In today’s rapidly evolving business landscape, how do you stay informed about industry trends and adjust your strategies to remain competitive?

  • I listen to podcasts and have certain people that I follow and gain inspiration from.
  • I always look for ways to improve my knowledge and expertise through ongoing raining and personal development
  • I work with coaches and spend time with soul aligned friends and colleagues. 

What is your approach to assembling and leading high-performing teams, and how do you inspire your team members to reach their full potential?

  • I’m working on this as we speak and getting the right person who aligns with my values and mission is extremely important to me  Again, communication is important and ensuring that your team members values align with your own not so much personally but as a business. 

How do you balance short-term financial objectives with long-term strategic planning for the growth and sustainability of your business?

  • This is an area I am working on.

Could you share an example of a major decision you had to make that had a substantial impact on your organization? What was the result, and what lessons did you learn from the experience?

  • Cutting down the team which happened quite organically but again putting myself in front as the expert and aligning with my mission and vision has been crucial in the development of the business    It’s important that your team members are helping you make the impact that you desire in your business. 

What role does innovation play in your business strategy, and how do you foster a culture of innovation within your organization?

  • I always aim to find the need and discover ways to support whatever it is that is required.
  • This year I have studied many courses to enable me to train others who are preparing to be part of my team.  I have studied Inner Child Healing, Trauma Informed Practice, The Nervous System, Soul Plan Readings, Meditation and Breathwork in the past year.  All designed to help me help others at a deeper more profound level

How do you address ethical dilemmas and make tough decisions when they arise in your role as a business leader?

  • I always endeavour to do the right thing and thankfully this is not something I have to deal with very often

Looking ahead, what are your primary priorities and objectives for your business, and what strategies do you plan to employ to accomplish them?

  • My primary priorities are to skill up my small team and build a team of facilitators who are ready to deliver my programmes across services
  • Creating long term financial stability is extremely important and I’m working with coaches and my accountant to enable me to do this
