Indre is a visionary entrepreneur with a mission to revolutionize the role of women in the finance industry. She is an accomplished professional with a strong academic background in economics and business, having obtained her degree from the prestigious University College London.

After completing her studies, Indre embarked on a remarkable eight-year tenure at Morgan Stanley Private Wealth Management in London. During this time, she worked closely with some of the wealthiest individuals in the world, providing them with expert advice on managing their investments, preserving and growing their wealth, and observing their attitudes and decision-making processes regarding investment. These experiences provided her with invaluable insights that she now shares with her clients.

Following her stint in banking, Indre collaborated with her clients for several years to launch a Family Office in London. However, in 2015, she decided to pursue her own venture, Lily Advisory. Over the past eight years, Lily Advisory has evolved into a premier financial education platform for women, empowering them to develop their confidence not just in managing their personal finances, but also in investing in a way that feels secure, purpose-driven, and fulfilling, while also being part of a supportive community.

Indre firmly believes that the world desperately needs wealthy women who can bring about significant changes in the financial realm. As such, she is committed to helping women change their perspective on investing, providing them with the tools and knowledge they need to achieve success in preserving and growing their accumulated wealth while also helping them achieve their life goals faster. And perhaps most importantly, she shows them how to make investing a fun and rewarding experience that can also leave a positive impact on the world. Indre sees you as one of the change makers, and she is dedicated to helping you become a part of this transformational movement.

Thank you for interviewing with us today, can you introduce yourself to us?

Such a pleasure to be speaking with you today. I am Indre, a wealth coach and I am on a mission to change how women think, talk and act about money. I believe the world is in need of wealth women who know how to use their money for the good of the world and I want to teach them how to invest their cash confidently so they can secure not just their own financial future but build wealth for the generations to come and inspire others to use their money for making the world a better place.

Can you take us through your journey to where you are now?

This could take a while. Ha ha ha. Ever since I as a little girl I had a fascination with women entrepreneurs. My dad has been an entrepreneur his whole life, but he never succeeded in a big way. My mum on the other hand had a friend, who I found to be incredible, and I used to stand by the door and listen to their conversations whenever she came over. She was a very successful entrepreneur and very well known in the town we lived in. I found her so exhilarating, so free, so powerful, so in control of her life. As time went on, I finished school, I moved to UK to study at UCL and I found a job in banking. I did however choose one, that promised an entrepreneurial approach and it sure fulfilled my thirst for that for the first 8 years of my career. I did great during my time at Morgan Stanley Private Wealth Management. I got to work with some of the wealthiest people in the world and I learnt a lot about what it takes to build wealth and most importantly maintain it. During those 8 years there was this little voice in my head constantly wondering and questioning, why there are so few women investors, why our clients are 99% men? Eventually the time came for me to take the next step and throw myself fully into entrepreneurship. At first, I decided to take a slightly cautious step and worked alongside an existing client helping them set up a Family Office in London. After 2 years, I was ready to spread my wings and fly on my own with Lily Advisory, which I founded in 2015. The journey certainly was not as straightforward as I’d hoped. I will be very honest and tell you that my business became what it is today only in the last 2 years. It took me a long time and many lessons along the way to really figure it out. For a while I couldn’t quite work out what I should focus on, and I kept sprinting in different directions, ever quite settling and never giving enough time for any idea to materialise. Now, I see that was an essential journey, that led to me realising my true potential. One thing that I am exceptional at is teaching women in a simple and easy to understand way about investing, showing them that they can do it even if they have no prior connection to the finance world, inspiring them to act and helping them feel confident in tehri decisions. And my biggest superpower is making investing fun, what I believe it should be, making it purposeful and impactful. So here we are, 17 years in the industry, finally doing what I am meant for and fulfilling my mission.

Since starting, have you made any changes to your business model?

Over the last years I have made so many changes I can hardly keep up with them myself. I started with a regulated advisory business, then I moved onto a subscription business, that moulded into a membership model, then I stopped altogether for a while when I had my son. And now I run a consultancy and group coaching model. I have no doubt, things will change again. I believe that is an essential part of the building a business, adapting, changing, moulding, because nothing is life is constant and so your business shouldn’t be either. It is important to stick with a strategy for a while to reap in the fruit, but it is equally important to be adaptable. Finding the balance between the two is the hardest aspect of entrepreneurship. Trusting your instinct and taking advice on changing where it serves is something I am still learning, and I don’t think that will ever stop.

Have you ever had a mentor? If so how has this benefitted you either personally or professionally?

I have always surrounded myself with mentors, other female entrepreneurs I look up to, coaches. I have been part of various group programs, did healing of all sorts. It is essential to invest in yourself if you want to have success in business. At the end of the day, it all starts with you and having that support is essential. It is needed in all areas. You should always have mentors that support you in any business-related questions. You should have coaches that help you tackle life and work on your self-development. You should be part of groups to learn, build friendships and just surround yourself with people that will push you hire. You should explore anything and everything that gets you out of your comfort zone. You will find me one day having business lunch and the next day a shamanic healing session. Being open to new things, different things is what keeps me on my path. There is never the end, the goal is the journey and enjoying that is the most important thing.

What outlets do use for marketing?

At the moment I am mainly focused on two things: 1) Instagram organic growth; 2) an evergreen marketing funnel via meta-ads. I am combining organic growth as well as paid ads. On top of that I also speak at podcasts, write articles for publications, maintain my subscribers through masterclasses, newsletters, free resources.

What or Who has inspired you most recently?

My son is my biggest inspiration and my biggest teacher even if he is only 4 years old. I always try to stay my course and I do not tend to look for inspiration outside, but rather within. You can get really trapped in the comparison game if you focus too much on what others are doing and that can lead to you questioning your worthiness. I focus on inspiring myself through recognising my own incredible accomplishments, through congratulating myself on achievements, through the internal work that I do continuously. I also look at my son and his ability to appreciate the small things in life. Seeing how much joy it gives to go to a local shop and squeeze the peanut butter ourselves into a container that we bought, reminds me the importance of living in the moment and building a life that fulfils my needs, creating the success that I want, not the one recognised as such externally.

What is the best piece of business advice you have received to date?

Funny enough the best advice has been not to blindly take the business advice others give you and to trust your own ability to make decisions.

How do you create an evenly balanced work and personal life?

You have to first figure out what balance means to you. There is no magic formula how that should be achieved or in what way to split your life to get the balance. I know what works for me and I focus on that. I check in with myself regularly to make sure I am on track; I am aligned and I am living the life that I want to live. As soon as there is an imbalance there, I adjust, and I shift and rethink my goals and my commitments. I can not tell you the exact way I split my time, but at this moment I am extremely happy and grateful for the balance that I have managed to build. I look after my clients, I have capacity to take on new clients, I spend time with my family, I spend time with my friends and most importantly I spend time with me. And that’s all that I need to feel fulfilled.

Name a seminal point in your career so far?

Every moment and every decision I take daily is seminal for the future. We all are where we are because of the small daily decisions we took up to this point. No one else is responsible for our lives but us. There is no one big thing that changes the course of your life. Your life is a combination of small daily decisions that you have made up to this day that determined exactly were you are today.

What gives you ultimate career satisfaction?

Knowing that the impact I am making on my clients’ life ripples through to wider impact on their family, friends, community, city, country, and the world. I genuinely believe that doing what I do I have the power to make a positive change and impact in the world. If one client embraces investing their money, the impact is endless. They secure their future, they build wealth for their families and kids, they have more spending power and can support small businesses around them, they invest their money creating a positive impact throughout other communities. It is incredible the ripple effect that one client creates.

Are there any leading entrepreneurs or SME leaders that you admire and if so, why?

As I have already said, I don’t look outward for inspiration, but I will say I admire every single person who takes the risk and makes the leap into entrepreneurship as it is one tough choice to make and even a tougher one to continue.

How do you define your own success?

Success for me means time freedom. I don’t care about the titles, the recognition from the outside world. All success is to me is ability to live my life exactly how I want, be able to do the things I want to do when I want to do them. It obviously requires a certain financial ability and time freedom. These two are the most important components of success. Everything else is a secondary bonus.

Finally, what can we expect from you next?

I don’t even know myself what will be next, but on a serious note, I am planning to launch an online course for beginners next year in collaboration with a well-established name, so watch the space!
