Su Orosa is a mental health and wellness coach who helps stressed professional women to rediscover peace, joy and purpose in life. She offers a package of self-development programs to help women understand their anxiety and stress as well as learning tools and techniques to manage their inner critic. She also runs one-day wellbeing retreats and a signature workshop on Finding Meaning and Purpose – looking at the Inner Critic. Her mission is to help as many women as possible to start living the life they were always meant to live.

My name is Su and I love everything about personal development. I’m passionate about helping people become who they were meant to be, warts and all! My background in counselling sees me assisting women in moving beyond the mental blocks that a traumatic past has raised and moved towards a better path in the safe holding space of recovery workshops and wellness retreats. My work is all about digging deep to encourage transformational life choices and I’ve practised this in many sectors. Working in education and the voluntary sectors I’ve learned a great deal about facilitating groups and seen first hand, that women in many sections of society face similar challenges in combating anxieties, self-doubts and fear of judgment. I’d say no matter what walk of life you are from, you can benefit from mindful practices to help realise your aspirations. 

My intense feelings about personal development have definitely come about from my own struggles. When you see yourself working hard on conquering past insecurities and trauma, the first thing you want to do is shout from the rooftops to others struggling that it doesn’t have to be this way! Struggling during my early years to fit in, as English was my second language,  added uncertainty and tensions at home growing up. The techniques I have used, such as Scaravelli influenced Yoga, to centre myself have become features of my practice. So it is not just my professional but also a personal joy to help women overcome self-sabotaging habits and helping them develop strategies to cope with the threats that modern life can pose to our mental health. I feel that there is no limit to the growth a person can achieve and through constant individual learning my own practices grow each year. 

My mission is to help as many women as possible start living their life they were always meant to live. Outside of my working life, a lot of women have mentioned to me that they feel as though they are positioned against each other in the professional world. So for me, to BEYOUROWN Woman, especially in 2020, is to lift each other up. Through mentoring and other acts of assistance, it is vital to help carry others up the ladder as you climb. We are all in this together as the saying goes.
