Human Design is a system that brings together Astrology, the I Ching, the Kabbalah, the Chakra System and Quantum Physics. Your specific Design is calculated at the time and place of your birth, giving you your own energetic blueprint or body-graph. The system can be thought of as your energetic user manual; it gives you a wealth of information about who you are, and how you best function in the world. Knowing your Human Design can help you to understand how best to run your business, in a way that is in energetic alignment with you.
What is my Human Design?
Human Design is an incredibly detailed system, with many layers, and a great place to get started is by finding out which ‘energy type’ & ‘strategy’ you have. You can find this here. Once you have this information you can begin the process of learning how best to align your energy so that success comes to you from a place of ease and flow.
What are the Energy Types?
There are 5 different energy types and each have a different strategy. The 5 types are:
- Manifestors,
- Generators,
- Manifesting Generators,
- Projectors
- Reflectors.
The Energy Types explained
Manifestors
Manifestors are designed to initiate and impact people and situations. As part of the only 8% of the population that have this design, they have historically been in leadership roles. This is an intense energy and can be both inspiring and intimidating to others around them. Manifestors have great energy to start businesses and movements. They do not need any input from others to get things off the ground. Despite Manifestors inherently independent energy, it can be helpful for them to inform the people around them of the action they are taking, or it may lead to them being misinterpreted.
Generators
Generators possess a life force energy that is magnetic and highly attractive to those in their orbit. Comprising of 37% of the population, they are designed to find work that they love and master it. Generators have a lot of energy to put into their work and must make sure that this energy is being channelled correctly. They have an inner GPS system that will let them know whether an opportunity is right for them or not, and that is their gut response. When making business decisions a Generator must listen to their gut above anything else.
Manifesting Generators
Manifesting Generators make up 33% of the population and are a hybrid of Manifestor and Generator. If you are an MG, depending on your chart, you may lean more towards Manifestor or more towards Generator. Manifesting Generators are designed to be heard, and to take action, with the work that lights them up. Manifesting Generators have a capacity to have multiple passions, and the ability to work on several different projects or businesses simultaneously. Similarly to Generators it is necessary for MG’s to listen to their gut when making decisions. On top of the gut response, it is helpful for MG’s to dip their toe before fully committing to a new project.
Projectors
Projectors are deeply a-tuned to the people around them. Projectors make up about 21% of the population. They are the natural guides of the community and are considered the future leaders. Projectors have a less consistent energy then other types, and are designed to work smarter not harder. Traditional 9-5 jobs may cause projectors to burn out. They are designed to be successful through honing their craft, skill, or healing modality, and sharing it with the world when it is invited. In business, projectors are often coaches, healers and teachers. Projectors have a penetrating aura that allows them to see into the other; because of this it is important that their energy and advice is invited. For projectors with their own business, seeking out environments where their energy is welcomed and invited is key.
Reflectors
Reflectors can be thought of as society’s mirror; reflecting their communities well-being. Reflectors make up 1% of the population. Their energy is very open and changes throughout the month, depending on who they are around, and the moon. It is advisable because of this changing energy for Reflectors to wait a full lunar cycle or month, before making any major life or business decisions. Reflectors are deeply empathic and sensitive. People will see themselves in Reflectors. If you are a Reflector, and the face of your brand, people will connect with you deeply. The challenge for Reflectors is to know when to engage with people and when to detach. Reflectors are impacted by their environment hugely, so it is necessary for them to be in supported environments that make them feel good. Making sure that your office or workspace is supportive and uplifting is vital for Reflectors.
